thanks Mani and Luzie, so can I please confirm, when I am writing a blog post, or a squidoo lens, or bookmarking the same at say digg, the tags I enter are 100% irrelevant to how well the article/post/squidoo lens/bookmark will do in the searches?  This is huge thing for me, because I spend alot of time doing keyword research and structuring my content and tags to match each other thinking that is helping SEO, not so?  If I just write a key word rich article, lens, post and bookmark it at digg, the tags I enter on each of those are irrelevant?  wow if that is right, that sure makes life a lot easier and faster for me.  Would that mean, the best thing to do is just break any long tail keywords down into simply the seperate one word tags making up all the long tail and just leave it at that.  Example, if instead of enter all these tags ....

stainless bolt, stainless steel bolt, stainless bolts, stainless steel bolts, bolt, bolts, stainless fasteners, stainless steel fasteners, stainless steel fastener, stainless fastener, stainless, steel, stainless steel, fasteners, fastener,

if I simply just put stainless, steel, fasteners, fastener, bolt, bolts .... that fact there are no ling tail tags, will not impact the search rank at my blog, or squidoo, or digg?
