Hi Wysz,

We (Source Interlink Media) are one of, if not the largest creator of enthusiast content worldwide.  While our primary focus is the automotive sector we cover enthusiasms from Surf, snow, skate, marine, home entertainment, photography, etc.  We have over 100 longstanding brands from Motortrend to Hot Rod to Surfer.  Overall we applaud Google’s efforts to give more weight to higher quality sites as over the long term this should provide benefit to our audience and yours alike, as there is no other organization in the world that invests more in creating the highest of quality Automotive enthusiast content as we do.  We have more than 200 full time, experienced, and highly skilled editors that create content across a number of enthusiast verticals across multiple platforms from web, to print, to a growing mobile audience which has grown to over a million consumers in a few short months.  While we support the change, in theory, we are extremely concerned about the disproportionate and immediate negative impact the change has had on a few of our key sites.  Automobilemag.com which represents one of the most esteemed brands in the industry was negatively impacted and we believe you would agree this is far from a poor quality site.  In fact the content contained on the site is in our opinion and that of many of your users, as good as it gets.  Automobile is a property that has one more writing, photography, and design awards than any other car magazine published to date. In fact, Automobile Magazine is the only car magazine to have won a National Magazine Award in the 44-year history of the awards.  This award winning content is contained on the site and supplemented with a significant amount of web only content that is provided for the benefit of those looking to stay up to date with the latest from Automobile’s perspective.  We would ask that you review the traffic statistics and the metrics used to create the recent change and we believe you will agree to the changes are way out of proportion related to the quality and usefulness of the site in question.  Unlike many of the content farms and other lesser quality sites we have grown and maintained a very large audience online not by manipulating, but by providing quality content and a sound experience to Google users who in many cases have been members of our audience for more than 60 years.

We appreciate the opportunity to provide feedback and are encouraged to see Google is listening.
