Hi,I seem to have experienced the "three beeps of death" [ https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3821746?tstart=0]  on a 2011 macbook pro--very similar to the topic linked below -- but on OS X 10.8.5 whereas the previous topic was 10.6.8. Am posting here in the hope this helps someone who--quite reasonably--concludes that their laptop needs new RAM or perhaps has failed entirely. https://productforums.google.com/forum/?nomobile=true#!topic/drive/NVy9cxgkL_g;context-place=topicsearchin/drive/mac$20os$20three$20beepsAm posting in a new thread because the old topic has--quite unhelpfully--been locked. I can't overstate how serious a bug this is--the most common diagnosis of this problem is unseated / broken RAM, or a busted logicboard connection, the latter of which is essentially unfixable for a laptop no longer under warranty. But simply removing google drive seems to have fixed it.I can't report which version of google drive I was using--the first thing I did after the reading the above thread was to remove it. The web interface to google drive seems to work ok now too--which makes me wonder why I'd ever installed a google drive app in the first place. I certainly won't do so again.
