Google is killing small businesses by being negligent

Hi everyone,

I represent a UK based business with over 270 offices nation-wide. At the moment our biggest challenge is Google Places/Map Listings.

We have listed all our locations based on Google's guidelines and have done everything we can to ensure that the data in our listings are accurate and always up-to-date. However, our biggest challenge has been Google Places itself! Google Places is full of bugs and glitches, our data gets messed up and we don't have any control over it whatsoever. Why has Google integrated a faulty product/service in the main search results, not only that, Google has given this mess prominence - I am referring to map listings!

Google, if you think that Google Places deserves the prominence then match that prominence by giving business owners the support needed. Right now, you are hurting many small businesses by integrating a messy service in your main results for your own selfish means! That might sound a bit harsh but I think my comment is justified because there are tons of our own listings that we don't have any control over. Any changes we make, they don't reflect in the live results. Reporting issues are totally pointless as they end up in a bottomless pit by the looks of it.

I have tried both method of reporting issues, I have had no luck with any of them.
