|HOW THE HELL DO YOU MAKE IT ACTUALLY PLAY CONTINUOUSLY? THE CONTINUOUS PLAY BUTTON DOESN'T WORK!!!||whitewaterider||5/3/11 11:18 PM|
I HATE THE NEW FORMAT! WATCH LATER DOES NOT WORK LIKE QUEUE DID! THE CONTINUOUS PLAY BUTTON DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! WHOEVER SCREWED ALL THIS UP SHOULD BE FIRED!!!!

Celm down... the "Watch later" or "Playlist" queue works fine for me. I just hate that auto-play-next feature because it usually plays the next video when i'm in the middle of typing a comment. I haven't tried the other features.
|Re: HOW THE HELL DO YOU MAKE IT ACTUALLY PLAY CONTINUOUSLY? THE CONTINUOUS PLAY BUTTON DOESN'T WORK!!!||whitewaterider||5/4/11 7:40 AM|
The point is, THE CONTINUOUS PLAY FEATURE DOES NOT WORK!!!! And that is the feature I WANT TO WORK!!!! I don't care if it's in Queue, Watch later or some other thing, I want the damned continuous play button to work, and it has NOT worked ever since they got rid of the QUEUE feature!!!
I say whoever screwed that up REALLY needs to get fired!!!!

Oh, and PhantomAct. if you are lucky enough to have the continuous play feature actually working for you? You CAN disable it. I can't make mine work!
|PhantomAct||5/4/11 11:34 AM|
U want continuous play so u can increase the view count of ur video?
|whitewaterider||5/4/11 3:04 PM|
PhantomAct: No! I have no videos! What I want is what I used to have, which is to hear music while I write! When I have to stop what I am doing to hit play again, it screws up what I am doing!
Besides, once you have watched a video, it only counts the first time, right? If I watch the same video a hundred times, it only counts the first time I watched it, doesn't it? I don't give a crap about video view count, anyway. That has NOTHING to do with it. I want to hear certain things over and over as I write.
I WANT THE CONTINUOUS PLAY BUTTON FEATURE TO ACTUALLY WORK!!!!!!!!!
|MustangSpirit||5/4/11 5:14 PM|
Have you considered creating a playlist for writing? You can put the same video in it 50 times if you like then click on your name in the upper right hand corner, click on "My Videos", click on the name of your playlist, then click "play all". It may not play continuous but then it's up to you how long it plays.
*shrug* Hope this helps you.

Whitewaterider is right. Continuous play will not work in full screen. In small screen I can get it to work. What I have been doing is right near the end of the video I minimise the picture and when it changes I maximize right away. That's about the best it gets.
|whitewaterider||5/4/11 9:20 PM|
MustangSpirit: That is a great idea, except that it STILL won't keep playing beyond two, maybe three vids, then it just stops!
|MustangSpirit||5/5/11 2:56 PM|
Hmmm I haven't had that issue actually. I have a playlist of movie trailers that I will go in and hit playall, they don't stop till the last one plays *shrug*
Have you tried clearing out your cache and cookies then try playing your playlist?
|whitewaterider||5/6/11 12:50 PM|
OK. I will leave this up since I am betting I am NOT the only one who has had issues. I did what Mustang Spirit suggested. Then it played the list, but it still didn't CONTINUOUSLY play.
So, on an unrelated thing, I got tired of the Java Update thing flashing at me and updated Java. NOW it plays continuously!
So for anyone else having the same issue I was having, try doing both what MustandSpirit suggested, about clearing out the cache and cookies, and update your Java thing. It worked for me, anyway....
|whitewaterider||5/7/11 9:17 AM|
OK, it's not working at all again. No matter what, it plays one video once and that is it!!! When we had Queue, THAT worked beautifully! This is not working!!!

next time dont abuse of the caps words we will read your post anyway

I was so frustrate too. But what I notice is that the YouTube plays the video one after another when I click at "PlayList" from the "Suggested Video". Somebody shares the PlayList. So, you can listen to the next song automatically.
But my friend has another way, I will have to ask him more.

The idiots that keep messing things up on YouTube need to get fired! QUIT FIXING THINGS THAT ARE NOT BROKEN, IDIOTS!!!

have you checked your list of play, for videos taken down from youtube. this stalls the list from continuoisly play. i had that problem aswell. but when i removed the videos taken down, it solved the problem. also videos that are NOT shown in your country region is pausing the list from playing. maybe check if your videos on list has some video that is taken down or has something that causes it to NOT show in your region/country. you can do this by going into the edit playlist tool, in there you can see if the video can be shown at your country region or if it is taken down by youtube. remove those that is. im sure you can find the music you want by clicking the link to comment page, and on the sidebar,there will be shown suggested videos with the same name/track, or you can use the search engine to find it uploaded by another user.
and please calm down. we all know that youtube isnt the greatest tool on earth to what they do. but no need to get aggrevated about it. its just their way of testing strength of users;-) hehe. see it like that, and then smile :)
i hope my answer provided some clues to what might be going on. if not. try to go into my channel and on right side select a list. they all play. but when in full screen mode they wont. this is because youtube refresh the next video, same way as your browser. that is why it wont show you the videos coming next.but in my list. you can still hear the music from next video, althought you still see the ended video you first pressed in full screen.because it hasnt the load feature to next.
hope it helped. and calm down. we are dealing with nerds. could take some time ... ;-)

some stuff is being done to youtube atm. i heard from a level 15 or higher. this may also cause some strange behaviors.
@wanwisa.u i also made playlist you can listen to. when you make a playlist, you automatic (if you got a public channel) also is showing it to whoever wacthes one or more videos from that list. if i was to listen to bee gees, then i find a song with them in the commentary paged video (not the channel) by using search. on top of suggested videos it will show me someone made a list of beegees songs.(just a example). hope it helped
and yes you will need to clear the cache as youtube LOVES to put the videos already loaded into your TEMP folder. i cleared 2GB from my computer in there. i didnt know this either but now i do.
you will also need java platform and flash player to be installed aswell.
Edit: and sorry for the double posting. seems youtube also has a GREAT feature in deleting when pressing "edit" button aswell. GREAT stuff. ROFL*

I have Firefox. I have updated Firefox. I have updated Java. I have run scans, cleaned the discs, and done absolutely everything else suggested. NOTHING works! I make a play list, only the first song plays NO MATTER WHAT I DO!!!
They need to just put it back the way it was with Queue...
|ThisBoyTV||5/20/11 4:53 PM|
It likely has nothing to do with YouTube as my play list work fine. The play lists have to be updated as someone pointed out.
I use Firefox with 3 add-ons and no toolbar.
Wonder if you may have an add-on that is causing the problem? You can check each of them via Help on Firefox.
