how do i remove youtube toolbar & how is youtube connected to yahoo? Miss C 4/29/10 12:42 AM
I'd like to remove the Youtube toolbar, and while trying to find out how to do this, I get many references to Yahoo.  I'm pretty much computer illiterate, but how are Youtube & Yahoo connected. Another subject: By accident, I saw a list of plugins that are loaded that I did not ask for-did they come automatically when loading Firefox?  And I just now noticed at the bottom of this page "Help with other Google products" Can you help me with how all of these products are related?

Windows XP 6 Home version
Outlook express
Firefox 3.6

I found this video which will help in removing the toolbar

After uninstalling the toolbar see if the other unwanted items are still there.
There may also be uninstallers for the others also. Use the same procedure as in the video

Thank you AussieMale, however, the info you gave me referred to removing or deleting the Yahoo tool bar--which I don't have anyway. I'm looking to get rid of the Youtube tool bar which I've never had, and it only showed up after I changed my browser to Firefox, which replaced Internet Explorer What I call the "youtube Toolbar" has  Youtube links and also games, life TV, weather, links to chats, gadgets, etc.  This is the bar I'm trying to remove since I don't use any of those things, and the bar takes up a lot  of room at the top. Thank you for answering, I appreciate you trying yo help

Sorry that info was not of any help.

I found this.

You may uninstall this Software at any time and with no limitations, using the standard uninstall procedures as offered with your computer's Operating System or your Internet Browser.

to uninstall the Toolbar from your Internet Explorer do as follows:
Open your computer's Control Panel then select "Add or Remove Programs", Find "LiveTV_ Toolbar"in the list of installed applications and click on it, Click on the "Change/Remove" button.

To uninstall the Toolbar from your Firefox browser do as follows:

Open Firefox and click on the "Tools" menu, Select "Extensions", Find "LiveTV_ Toolbar" in the list of installed extensions and click on it, Click on the "Uninstall" button.

I hope this will be of more help

Hi again, maybe I'm calling the bar an incorrect name. Firefox is not in the Add/Remove list, nor is it listed in the All Programs list. Therefore, I don't know where to look to uninstall them with the Firefox browser. I have cut n pasted lines form your answer, and added my results as follows: 1. to uninstall the Toolbar from your Internet Explorer do as follows-from me-I don't used Internet Explorer, my browser is Firefox
#2.Open your computer's Control Panel then select "Add or Remove Programs", Find "LiveTV_ Toolbar"in the list of installed applications and click on it-from me--"Live TV" is not on my add/remove list, #3 Click on the "Change/Remove" button from me-no add/rem since I don't have "Live TV"
Again, thank you so much for trying to help me--I feel like  I'm using a completely different computer than yours, you're not seeing my problem, and I'm not seeing your help solutions. I think maybe I'll just leave it all there, it isn't hurting anything (that I know of), it just takes up space and is annoying!!! Thank you, thank you, you did a good thing by trying to help me. It's 2 am here, guess I  need to get some sleep

I think this section is more relevant.

To uninstall the Toolbar from your Firefox browser do as follows:

Open Firefox and click on the "Tools" menu, Select "Extensions", Find "LiveTV_ Toolbar" in the list of installed extensions and click on it, Click on the "Uninstall" button.

A good nights sleep always does wonders. So hopefully tomorrow you will be able to work it out.
