What does "your video is being processed" mean?

I just uploaded a video, and when i try to watch it i get a red message box that says my video is being processed. What does this mean...and how long will it be before i can view it??

When you upload your video, it has to be converted to a common format that YouTube uses to play your video. It actually converts it into a number of different formats and sizes for different qualities and purposes....for cell phones, TV, game consoles, blu-ray players, and high and low qualities.
This takes time depending on what you uploaded.
If it takes a very long time (like a day), the YouTube converters probably didn't like how ever your video was created and can't understand it and is stuck. Delete it and upload it again or export it as a different format...WMV and MP4 work pretty well.

Yes and no, noting Liz did post about an error where uploads have stopped processing and became stuck, though you shouldn'd need to delele them, I know that in this reference here, Liz is ask for stuck processing videos to be posted now, which you can find her post on page Two..
