I am able to open google.com on firefox but am unable to open it on IE. What's up. I checked the privacy settins in the Control Panel - Internet Options and it isn't blocked there. What do I need to do to fix this? It just happened last night - can't figure out why. I didn't download anything - I think...

Same thing happened to me. Thought it was something I did, but now I see it is happening to others. I can reach every other site except Google's main page and images page. I can get to google maps, however. Began late Friday 6/5. Anyone have any answers? I am also using the Internet Explorer 8 that was just offered as an update.

Why are you digging up almost 9 month old threads?
As far as SuperAntiSpyware is concerned ... yes it is one of many legitimate, reputable tools to "try" to use for malware related issues. Unfortunately, users need to be aware that none of them detect and remove everything. Malware is a constantly moving target. What works one day, for one set of symptoms, may not work the next day, as the malware evolves. The other thing to consider is that the same symptoms can be reported by many people, yet all of them be the result of different forms of malware. There will rarely be a "one-size-fits-all" solution.
