Today's doodle marks the birthday of Bob Moog, the inventor of the synthesiser. Hovering over the icon produces the message ""Robert Moog's 78th
birthday". It isn't. He died 7 years ago. His last birthday was his 71st. Today would have been his 78th birthday if he was still alive. Which he isn't.

Could you please get someone to fix this?

It's in very poor taste and must be upsetting for his family and friends.

What's even worse is a google marketroid has compounded this error by turning it into a press release which has been regurgitated by the press. sigh.

Google doodles have been produced for the birthdays of several noted artists and scientists, including Andy Warhol, Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, Louis Braille, Percival Lowell, Edvard Munch, among others.  With these types of Doodles, the spirit is to celebrate the contributions these people made during their lives and we do understand that they are deceased.
