Today, we’re excited to announce the arrival of Google Now on your iPhone and iPad via the Google Search App. Google Now gets you just the right information at just the right time, like:
And the best part? All of this happens automatically. Cards appear throughout the day at the moment you need them. Get the Google Search app with Google Now from the App Store. Drag it to the tray, open it, sign in and you’re ready to go.
Use this thread to submit ideas you have about new ways to use Now. If something isn’t working with Google Now, s
wipe back to your Search App homescreen and tap the gear. Then tap Feedback.
Does this mean functionality is now totally the same on Android and iOS devices?
The types of Google Now cards available is largely the same on both platforms. As with many Google products, Android (and Nexus devices) always give you the best Google experience, but we aim to make our services available to as many people as possible.
Will Now cards work if I just download the search app to my phone or do I have to have it open/active?
You’ll be asked to opt in to use Google Now -- as part of this process, you will be asked to sign in so that we can make the service more useful to you. You’ll need to have your Google Search app open to see the Now cards.
Is this Google’s version of Siri?/How is this different than Siri?
We’ve had Voice Search for a while and have been working on making it more useful in assisting you as you go through your day -- the current search app is the latest step in that evolution. With Google Now part of the Search app, you can get the right information at just the right time, without even having to ask.

Love the new addition. Only problem is my GPS is now running constantly even after the app is closed. Are you working on this issue?

When will it be possible to enable Google Now access for iOS users with Google Apps Domains.
Currently you can enable Google Now under the
"Dashboard > Settings > Mobile > Org Settings > Android Settings > Enable Google Now"
option in the admin console, but no such option exists for Iphone users.

Love the update. I accidentally deleted a card (weather) and now I can't get it back. I've tried disabling and reenabling the card and Google Now, to no avail. Also quit and reopened the app and restarted my phone. Help!

Come on google. The app has now become a big joke on iOS. What ate you doing? There are battery drainage issues and a lot more. Please read the reviews in the USA App Store.

To say I was angry, would be an understatement. You have no right to update an app that drains my battery by an extra 50% a day. I know now I could have shut the location services off, but why would I want to? Isn't that the point of the update? I deleted the app and will never load it again unless you 1) admit you created an app that drains the iPhone 5 battery excessively and 2) fix it!
Btw, I am a huge google fan and love your products but the arrogance of your stance on this update is upsetting.

Not just this update. Arrogance and Google are forever linked for me I think of one the other comes to mind also.

I travel a lot.
all my flights are on my google calendar, and still google now doesn't inform me about anything.
Besides, it doesn't keep my history.
What can I do?

It would appear that people who use 2 factor authentication (most people, hopefully), are being consistently signed out of the Google Search App when using it on an iPhone, rendering Google Now useless (since it becomes Google after-I've-filled-in-my-username-and-password-and-code).

I canno use some of apps in Turkish Store.
Like maps, latitude, locals.
iOS gives me "Item not available. The item you've requested i not currently available in the Turkish Store"
When we use it?
|Re: Google Now available on your iPhone and iPad||cwoodards2||6/10/13 7:30 PM|
I too am having difficulty with Google Now staying signed in on both my iPad and iPhone. This was not the case until the update. I am running the latest ios versions on both devices. This really makes a lot of Google Now pointless to use. Please resolve.

I have my Tripit calendar linked to my Google calendar. Tripit events show up in Gooogle Calendar, but they do not show up in Google Now.
How do I fix that?
