|Google images safe search displaying detailed pornography||Stephen_B||7/30/12 6:30 PM|
We have about 700 computers and our internal policies ensure that Google settings for safe search are set to “Strict”. With this we normally have no issues with people accessing pornography. During normal testing we have found that searching for the word “wank” provides very inappropriate images that should not be displayed with safe search in use.
I tried phoning Google with no luck. Does anyone know how to contact someone who can assist with this?

I will escalate this. Give it a day or two for a response.

I wonder why porn shows up with safesearch set to strict but not when set to moderate?

Hi Stephen_B and welcome to the WebSearch forums!
As you may know, Google uses automated systems to identify potentially objectionable content. We're working hard to keep these systems up to date and constantly working on improving them based on feedback like yours.
If you find objectionable images while SafeSearch is turned on (Moderate or Strict), please use the "Report Offensive Image" function as described in the following Help Center article: http://support.google.com/websearch/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=510
Thanks for helping us maintain the quality of the search results!

When doing Image searching for [ wank ], then I'm seeing less porn with SafeSearch set to Strict than when set to Moderate.
Could you try do a InPrivate / Incognito search with setting Strict and Moderate (on google.com) and see if that makes any difference for you ?
