General HTTP error: 404 not found Digital Dreams 3/18/09 11:12 AM
I'm publishing on Blogger Custom Domain.I've set feed re-direction to http://feeds2.feedburner.com/techpings/Tjge in Blogger settings.

Google Webmasters throws the following error when I submitted sitemap

"General HTTP error: 404 not found
We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit"

Sitemaps in any of the following format  throws 404 error

1.http://www.techpings.com/ feeds/posts/default?orderby=updated

2.http://www.techpings.com/ feeds/posts/default

3.http://www.techpings.com/rss.xml or rss.xml?redirect=false

4.http://www.techpings.com/atom.xml or atom.xml?redirect=false

Right now google has stopped indexing my new blog posts

Looking forward for your valuable help.

Interesting... I'm able to access those URLs through my browser, but Googlebot is getting a 404. It's possible that you're somehow blocking Googlebot (perhaps by IP), which is odd if your content is hosted by Blogger... you might want to ask around in the Blogger Help Group, and/or check out the article below.

You need to provide a sitemap that conforms to the standards agreed with Google, Yahoo and MSN/Live.

See www.sitemaps.org

THe "sitemap" URL that you have given in your robots.txt file does not conform to sitemap.xml requirements, not to sitemap.txt requirements.

I have not checked the other URLs that you give.

Check the robots.txt analysis page in Google Webmaster Tools to see
if Googlebot can see your robots.txt file.

Right now I'm able to submit sitemap in the format http://www.techpings.com/ feeds/posts/default?orderby=updated

Webmasters throws a different error"Redirect error: Redirect error
We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit."
HTTP Error:302 (Moved temporarily)
Problem detected on:
Mar 18, 2009"

Robots.txt page shows User-agent: *
Disallow:

Sitemap: http://jobnol.com/sitemap.xml

Jobnol.com is a wordpress self hosted domain.I think google bot is taking the sitemap of jobnol.com.
Re: General HTTP error: 404 not found Digital Dreams 3/19/09 12:19 AM
Cleared all sitemap files for jobnol.com in the root and submitted sitemap for techpings.com

I checked www.techpings.com in urivalet.com.It shows maximum number of re-direction occurs for www.techpings.com

Right now it's an issue of redirection.

How can I stop this re-direction in Blogger Template? or May I know the fix?
Re: General HTTP error: 404 not found Digital Dreams 3/19/09 1:23 AM
The robots.txt page is as follows

robots.txt URL         http://www.techpings.com/robots.txt
Last downloaded         12 hours ago
Status         200 (Success)

User-agent: *
Disallow:

Sitemap: http://jobnol.com/sitemap.xml

Instead of taking techpings.com/robots.txt,google shows jobnol.com sitemap
