Are there supposed to be images in the 3x2 block on the opening screen? The only way to discover it's a navigation menu is to mouse-over. Otherwise it's a very confusing opening screen - in that it tells me nothing.

Hi londonseosolutions and welcome to the forum!

I'd generally recommend a more traditional site format. It's complicated for search engines to understand a "one-page" site like that, given that there is so much information on a single page. It's much easier for our algorithms to focus on individual pages with content that matches the same context. Additionally, as Becky mentioned (thanks!), it could be extremely confusing to the user to see basically an empty page when they expect to find content based on a search that they've made.

Hope it helps!
John

The attached image is useful to help understand how users behave. It shows that around 94% of the actions taken on that page - ie clicks were in the opening screen. Truth is, a lot of people don't go past what they see when they land on a page. You really need your critical information on the page where users can see it immediately.
