|Did SketchUp 8 has free render?||Marwella||11/24/10 5:14 AM|
Please can you tell me if SketchUp has a render program for free...I'm so tired of downloading free trials programs that in 30 days I just have time to learn them...and after that,I'm looking for another trial version...

Kerkythea is completely free without any limitations - however the learning curve will be steeper than with IDX, which is indeed an easy-to-use plugin and working inside SU:
There is the main (studio) application and you will also need the SketchUp exporter plugin (available at the download section as well).
Check out the downloadable models and materials, too. You will find lots of other materials shared by users in the forums, too.

Thank you Bestismate,it was the first renedering program I used,but was limited too...to be sincere,I didn't find it quite good,however I'll try it again,after 25 days...now I'm trying V-ray which is complicated for me,but seems very good.
Thanks a lot!Well,something else,I have dowloaded shape bender_v055,but I don't know how to run it!And that progress bar which is required too,and the same,I don't know what to do next!How they will appear in my sketchUp?

Did you install the plugins correctly?
Shape Bender will appear under Plugins > Chris Fullmer tools. Below is a video on its usage.

If it's a simple to learn, easy to use renderer you're after then you should try Shaderlight. There's a fully featured Pro version but also a free version that you can continue to use when your trial expires. www.shaderlight.com

Many thanks for sharing your recommendations. Does anyone have links to more examples of using SketchUp with these renderers (in addition to what Bestistmate has already shared ;-) ?

V-ray is a good choice however your original question was about free renderers.

Quick update to this thread: last week, Maxwell Render released a free version of its rendering application. Another options to toss into the mix!
