To help us find trends and for faster troubleshooting, please provide the following --
Site(s) URL: http://www.runkirarun.com
Operating System (ex. Windows XP, Mac OSX): XP
Browser (ex. Firefox 3.5, IE 8): IE 7
Issue details: Hi, I posted this on Blogger help, but when I saw this post http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/sites/thread?tid=5db2f58febfac7ef&hl=en describing almost the same problem, so I thought you all could help me solve mine.
I'm mapping my custom domain http://www.runkirarun.com to my blog http://runkirarun2.blogspot.com. But when I entered my custom domain into my Blogger dashboard, I was informed that, "Another blog is already hosted at this address." The domain takes me to a Google Apps Site welcome page for this domain. BUT, I've never setup any Google Apps page, and the only other Google services I've setup are Blogger and Gmail. I knew nothing about Google Apps, and certainly don't have the password it thinks I should have to access the account I never set up. ??
Three months ago I tried my first attempt to map this domain as a custom domain for this blog. I thought it was unsuccessful because I got the same error, and this prevented me from going further. I thought this was due to my domain registers limitations around customizing A Names, CNAMES and redundant servers.
I just successfully transferred this domain over to GoDaddy.com, did everything on that side to forward the domain to ghs.google.com, etc. I've verified that it pings successfully.
How do I get my domain to stop being forwarded to the Google Apps Site, so I can then get it to map to my blogger blog?
Thanks a lot

I had the same problem, and was hoping someone would answer this question, but no luck. Here's what I found, but since it takes time for the DNS to update, I don't know if it worked for me.
First do this:
Then, when www.runkirarun.com brings up a 404 Not Found error, go back to the blogger publishing page, and update your domain name.

Did anyone confirm that just disabling sites will move the domain back to blogger? I did that a few hours ago and it's still saying the domain isn't found, do I just need to keep waiting? I made sure it was configured in the blogger settings and it was correct. The domain is http://www.seth-moore.com
