|Google News bias to Pres Obama... sure looks to be so!!!||WisestOne||8/29/11 6:10 PM|
I have noticed a trend in looking at Google News over the past few years, and today it became even more obvious that Google News is not balance in reporting news openly and truthfully. It was announced today on various other news outlets that Obama's uncle Onyango Obama, an illegal immigrant, was arrested last week in Framingham (west of Boston) after police said he made a rolling stop through a stop sign and nearly caused a cruiser to strike his sport utility vehicle. Anyway, it was briefly on the GN page but then for whatever reason it disappeared and has not returned during the day. Again, this is not the first time that I have noticed what clearly appears to be a pattern of bias and protecting Obama from negative news.
So my questions are:
1. Have others here noticed such bias on Google News also?
2. If it's true (and I am not making it up...), why is Google News not being truthful and fair in reporting news, as is expected from a professional news organization???

LOL... funny how I have been watching this for hours and after checking again, that example story of Obama's uncle Onyango Obama, an illegal immigrant, was arrested last week in Framingham is now on the front page.
I guess we will see how long it actually stays there...

Seems like a query of this subject shows an overwhelming majority of results point towards Google leaning Right. No pun intended.
Reason I queried it was because I read google news everyday and it seems as if the most "top 3" headlines in the "top 3" categories on the page slant republican.
Or perhaps the right is so effective at the game they get front seats on the entire mainstream media.

I think Google staffers don't manage the stories at this point. You know, Google indexes hundreds thousands news stories a day and actually it's impossible to filter them out by a limited number of staff in Google News department.
There is a known bug in Google News system which cause removing of some reports. As far as I know the managers and engineers are looking into this issue and it will be fixed soon.
