How long does it typically take to be accepting into Google News? I've submitted content for inclusion two weeks ago and have not received any acceptance messages. I received the initial automatic reply but now I'm awaiting the confirmation or acceptance email notifying me that the submitted content will now be accepted into Google News.

Depending on the volume of inclusion requests we receive, it can take up to several weeks to hear back about your site. We do promise to look at it though-- if you've responded to the automated reply, you're set for the moment.

Thank you very much
for the reply. I apologize for my impatience. I understand that the sheer volume Google must receive for
inclusion is daunting and an arduous task to complete. I'm just anxiously awaiting the acceptance email letter letting me know that my companies content will be included within Google News. Or, on the other hand, receiving any information stating that the content submitted is invalid and will not be included which will in turn alert me that I did something wrong in this process.
Yes, I did reply to the Google source-su...@google.com automatic response email, #945321441, on January 12, 2012.
Not that this information will get my content reviewed any faster but I thought it might be nice, considering the amount of people you come in contact with on this forum, if you knew a little bit more about the person you were talking to and the background which sparked my original question.

If your site is already accepted in Google News and the content is being moved to another domain, you do not need to re-apply-- you only need to let us know via a site update message-- the link to that form is below.

Our records indicate that projo.com is in our system-- the fact that it's not appearing in search results may be related to the recent changes you made to the site, so reporting the update to us may resolve the issue.

Thank you for clarifying.
I've followed your instructions and submitted the update form.
I've attached an image of the form just before submission and a copy of the sections.

Last night I recived an email from The Google News Team stating that they have updated our site's name and domain in their system.
Thank you for helping me with this original post.
The email stated that I must re-submit my News sitemaps once these changes take effect.
I've re-submitted my News sitemaps but I still see the 'Unknown news site' error message. Could this be because even though I've received the email confirmation the changes haven't taken effect yet? How will I know when the changes have taken effect?
I just checked Google News and searched site:providencejournal.com. Our content is showing up! I'm very happy! Ha-ha!

Often it will take some time for changes to our system to take effect-- your patience is appreciated! If the sitemaps continue to show errors over the next several days, please let us know.
