Always include:

Device: Motorola Droid
Carrier:Verizon Wireless
Country / Language: USA, English
OS / Browser / build number (if applicable): Android 2.0. map navigation beta 3.2.0

navigation is great!, one suggestion i have is to simplify voice guidance for numerical based steets. here in utah most major streets are based on a numerical grid of north, south, east and west. while residential streets are name based but still have a numerical assignment, having maps navigation call out the entire street can be super long and very confusing. it may be beneficial to have it call out numerical streets when there is only a numerical value and have it call out just the names of the streets when applicable, or at least have an option for it.

also maps has two heading values for each numerical street such as "S 1700 E" which would otherwise normally be known as just "1700 E." this makes voice navigation quite confusing as well.

Hey zr2ee,

Thanks for the suggestion! If you haven't already, I'd post it at http://productideas.appspot.com/#16/e=cf so that others can vote on it. Also, as Google Maps Navigation is still in Beta, we'll be making gradual improvements to the app over time, and voice output is one of our areas of focus :)

Best,
Tom
