I am trying to find an email that was in my trash box, but my trash box was emptied.  Is there any way to recover emails after they have been deleted from the trash box?

there has to be a way to retrieve them.... i mean these aren't old emails. they were deleted recently.  i have read of ways to pull it up on different email accounts like hotmail and yahoo or whatever.  there is really no way to pull up this stuff?

if the emails are still available in your hotmail or yahoo account, you can migrate it to gmail.

if you have deleted it in gmail, you cannot recover it from gmail anymore.

i was just using the hotmail and yahoo as examples.  i dont have access to the original emails at all.  i guess i am hoping someone sees this that might know, because i really believe in the statement... "nothing on the computer is ever really gone"....

jenwh83, technically you may be correct that the deleted messages are somewhere on the server until that disk space gets re-used.  Practically, there's no way to get to them and recover them.  So EJ's statement still is correct:  messages deleted from Trash or Spam can not be recovered.

So, technically speaking, who do we need to speak with at Google to recover those deleted emails off their servers?  There absolutely has to be a way for them to pull the emails.  Do you know who to contact that has access to these servers?  I've worked in the IT industry long enough to know that these emails have to be stored somewhere for legal purposes.

Given that Google does not offer live support for the free Gmail product (see:  http://mail.google.com/support/bin/request.py?contact_type=contact_policy) there is simply no one to talk to.

The only other possible option would be a legal one.  Google's privacy policy prevents them from supplying any information about accounts.  You will need a court order for Google to search servers for any information (there is no guarantee they will find anything useful).

For information about Gmail's legal policies, see:  http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=7995

If deleted e-mails cannot be recovered! is there any way to confirm the date or time of the activityof the deletions? I'm trying to narrow down the source,of what computer, i know who has done the deleting?

can account account activity such as deleting items sending items be monitored or logged for legal purposes?

As stated above, you would need a court order to ask Google what information they could get from server logs.
