|How the heck do I stop gmail from grouping my eMails from senders?||igounfazed||3/29/10 8:39 PM|
Explain your issue in full detail here: I receive 2+ eMails from the SAME person. on the same day. Gmail GROUPS the 2+ eMails as ONE single entry in my inbox stating the 2+ nature. I open the message and the only one displayed is the last eMail sent.
How do I make gmail stop this stupid feature? I have gone through the options and didn't see an option. I hate having gmail group ANY eMail. I would much rather get ONE entry PER eMail sent no matter from who it is sent, or how many they send in one day. If I get 100 emails today from one person: I WANT TO SEE 100 INDIVIDUAL EMAIL ENTRIES IN MY INBOX. Not one entry that says there are 100 messages within that I then have to expand.

This is SOLELY a Google Gmail feature with no regard to OS, Browser, etc.

Unfortunately, you can't turn off the "conversation view" (grouping messages based on subject) as is a fundamental part of the Gmail use-model. Most people like it, but there are some (often very vocal) that don't like it or have specific e-mail needs where it isn't optimal. For example, automated messages where the subject is always the same (like from a web-site, or business) but where the messages are not actually related.
If this is really important to you, you might consider starting to use an e-mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Pocomail) with your Gmail account to get a different use-model and feature-set (including things like sorting, folders, etc). That would give you access to the features you want while still allowing access to your Gmail from any computer using the web-interface.

At least give us the ability to turn it off.I would agree that it would be nice if Google made it optional.
*waves* Good luck in finding a provider that better fits your needs.
