Android phone having sync issues with Gmail, deleted emails still showing up online hpgator 3/8/10 5:39 AM
Explain your issue in full detail here:

I am currently using a Motorola Droid with the Gmail client built in, and when I delete emails on my Droid they are still not deleted from the Google server online. When I go to check my email on the web, all of the emails are still there and listed as unread. On my phone it shows I have "(x) new emails" in the Gmail client when they have been "deleted" already (so I can't see them anymore on the phone).

I have tried taking away the gmail sync and re-enabling it but that does not seem to work either.

Ok I have the same problem in all 5 of my email accounts.

I get over 300 emails a day and my DROID does what its supposed to.

Beep hollar whatever else I have it configured to do to let me know.

BUT I AM GETTING EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED WITH READING THEM AND DELETING THEM AND HAVING THE *)&(^&(^ MESSAGES COME BACK THE NEXT TIME IT CYCLES.

I'm having the same problem with my tmobile mytouch.  I delete, then delete from trash.  Then check inbox then trash and they are back in the trash.  This is through the Apparently. That is built into the phone.   I can go to Gmail via a web browser and do the same thing and it works fine.  This sound's like a software issue to me. I am still at firmware 1.6

I am having the same issue with my HTC Imagio, running Windows Mobile 6.5.  I tried deleting and then adding my Gmail again and it did not fix the problem.  Using IMAP.

Did not have this issue until about a month ago.

what works best for me is deleting the built in Gmail app and creating a Google mail linked icon.
