What does this mean "the connection to the server "imap.gmail.com" on port 993 timed out"? Charlene S. Trochta 2/19/11 9:56 AM
Explain your issue in full detail here:
I am not able to receive or send any messages.  I have an IMac with Snow Leopard operating system, our
internet server is Time-Warner Cable "Road Runner".  There is a small triangular icon next to my
email boxes and when I open it, I get the message above.  I do not understand what "port 993 timed out"
means.  I am a real novice on computers and need simple 1-2-3 instructions as to how to remedy the
problem.  Any assistance will be very much appreciated.
