Gmail Password Rejected By Server ronmcguire2 8/5/10 6:41 PM
Explain your issue in full detail here: I have been receiving gmail in outlook express for several years. Now every time I hit send/receive in outlook express I get prompted by my gmail password. The prompt says "Logon - Pop.gmail.com" and prints my correct username and dots for my password. I overwrite the dots with my password, the password is rejected and I get the following message:

" There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'pop.gmail.com', Server: 'pop.gmail.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92"

I can still use my gmail username and password to log into gmail on google. But everytime I try to get my mail in Outlook Express I get the above error message. What should I do to restore my setting so that my gmail comes back into outlook express again?

Thanks for any helpful advice,
Ron
