|iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||mattfromlincs||9/16/09 2:54 PM|
Following instructions posted here I directed my iPhone's safari browser to m.google.com/sync, signed in with my google account and selected my iPhone in the device list. I have three shared calendars as well as 'my' calendar, I wanted to show the shared calendars on my iPhone aswell as my default calendar. However, only two of the three subscribed shared calendars appear, the third one (a sports schedule) doesn't appear. Does anyone have any ideas why? I've double checked and I'm definitely subscribed to it, it appears on my Google Calendar online too so I'm a bit confused as to why it won't appear as an option on google sync?

I have the same problem too. Are the the sports calendars sponsored by Google? My only guess is Google has not allowed these to show up in the mobile sync for some reason, every user created calendar I have shows up.

I was wordering the same question. Sports calendars is a cool and useful thing, and those are shared calendars which should be appeared in the list. Anyone know why?

I have two user created calenders that show up on my iPhone but a third one I created just does not show. Is Google's sharing feature half baked?

have the same issue, subscribed to sports calendars, and they do not show up on m.google.com/sync for me to sync
would like to sync them please

I too have the same issue.
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||joconn183||10/2/09 10:20 PM|
Has anyone figured out how to fix this? My "third" calendar that is not appearing is my business one with appointments, due dates, etc. and is pretty crucial to be able to access on-the-go.

Same problem here. Still no solution?
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||mwaltz||10/8/09 11:44 AM|
The issue isn't exclusive to sports calendars. While I do have the issue with a sports calendar, the problem extends to other Google private-label primier accounts. As joconn183 indicated, integration of home and work calendaring on mobile devices is key. Oddly enough, out of the half-dozen or so shared calendars that show up on my browser, only two don't show up on the m.google.com/sync calendar selection list.

I am having the same problem. I have two user generated calendars that work fine. However I have three shared calendars and one URL calendar that does not work. Has anyone figured this out? Is there a box or something I am missing.
I have even deleted all my calendar information on my iphone and re-enabled the google calendars. Same problem. Please Help!
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||PastorChris||10/27/09 12:08 PM|
I, too, am experiencing the same issue. I had a total of five calendars showing up on my iPhone (2 primary, 3 secondary, shared or read-only), so I removed a shared calendar to see if the sports calendar would appear as an option. Of course, it did not. There are some other calendars I would like to see on the iPhone, so a fix would be very helpful. I am glad to hear that deleting all the calendar info and re-enabling didn't work, as that was going to be my next step.
Hope everyone here gets everything straightened out soon!

Sports calendars (and probably other premium content) aren't enabled at this time (working out licensing issues for mobile and syncing, etc.).
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||mrgilbert.01||1/5/10 1:49 AM|
I'm having a similar problem on a Windows Mobile device HTC (Tilt2).
It looks like the default and holiday calendars sync, however the 4 other calendars shared from another user don't show up. All calendars show up fine on the regular google calendar web site. Are the colors suppose to be preserved after syncing?
Is there something else I need to do to sync the other user defined calendars?
Would I have better luck with a palm rather than a WM device?
Seems like even Google is pushing us back to Exchange which is suppose to sync directly with the iPhone and with Google Apps.
Who would have thought that would be the case?

I can't help with the sports calendars (Robin seems to have the authoritative word on that one), but if you created multiple personal calendars and are having trouble synching all with the iPhone calendar app, go to https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect on your phone and select the missing calendars. I was able to get not just my own, but those that friends have shared with me, and even a calendar from a company I have an account with.

Robin - I see your last post was back in October 2009. Do you have an update on this issue? Aside from the Sports calendars, there are a couple of other calendars I am not able to synch. Thanks!
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||jmalachowsky||7/19/10 8:23 AM|
Hello, team! My problem has nothing to do with sports calendars or other premier or licensed content. I have 9 different 'calendars' in my Google calendar, with different colors for different family, biz clients, vacations, etc. I can see only 6 on my iPhone, nor do the missing ones appear under 'all calendars.' How can I get ALL my calendar entries to show in the iPhone?? Thanks!
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||sneeeko||8/5/10 3:40 PM|
I set the google calendar sync up but could still not see some of my calendars. Finally I tried to turn my phone off and then on and there it was, all fixed and ready to go.

Any word on the Sports calendar's being enabled for iPhone syncing yet? The Football/Soccer season's just started! :)
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||peteweber||10/7/10 11:29 AM|
Can anyone help me with the following:
I followed the link suggested by many of you (https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect) and see 3 of my calendars there. They are actually already checked. I hit save anyway. (I also tried unchecking them, saving, going back and checking them, then saving.) Still, when I go to the Calendars tab under the Calendar app on my iPhone 4, the only calendar listed there is my main one. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this? I've followed all of your recommendations explicitly. Thanks!

Stolen from another page so credit goes there but this worked for me
1. Complete Google's instructions
2. Open Safari on your iPhone
3. Navigate to m.google.com
4. Select 'Sync'
5. Select your device
6. Check the boxes next to the Calendars you want to sync (It will only let you choose 5 total, including the "US Holidays" one)
7. Click 'Save.'
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||Marcelo Vital Brazil||10/19/10 5:02 AM|
k.dog's solution hit bullseye! That's the one to follow (but attention: the "sync" option on m.google.com only appears if the site's language is set to English. Brazilian Portuguese's site does not show this)
(The calendars may take a while to sync after you set this, so don't get desperate ;D )
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||Proggie||10/19/10 10:14 AM|
I just tried it, and it does NOT work. The sports calendars do not show up in the available calendars to sync. Only holiday calendars are available under the Shared Calendars.
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||bmadison||10/19/10 12:06 PM|
I tried everything else and only this tip worked for me.
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||Proggie||10/19/10 12:37 PM|
They are greyed out under "Not available for syncing"
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||jadeloyd||11/11/10 1:17 PM|
i have the same "not available for syncing" problem with the "interesting calendars" i have subscribed to via google.
i was able to sync the "US Holidays" calendar on my iPhone when I was syncing via goggle sync under an Exchange account, but i have since switched to the CalDav format for iPhone syncing. Now these calendars, including the "US Holidays" one, are visible at https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect, but "unavailable for syncing".
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||acutephysician||12/11/10 3:36 AM|
I have the same problem with my android phone. I can see one of my subscribed calendars but I cannot see the second calendar which is a sports calendar.
Google: why can you not sort this out? Shame!!!!
why can I not add a subscribed calendar to andorid phone in the same way as on iphone via a url link?
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||sfoote||1/12/11 7:46 PM|
I have jmalachowsky's problem. I have 10 calendars on google, and only 8 show up on my iphone and ipad. Going to m.google.com/sync, I can see that all 10 calendars are selected for syncing. I've deleted my iphone and ipad calendar and reloaded from google. No change.
I'm using exchange not caldav. With Caldav I don't have this problem, but then again, with Caldav the colors get all screwy so I'd like to stick with exchange.

THANKS srepuuci!! I've been going crazy trying to resync my calendars and this worked!!
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||jpleonard||1/18/11 10:03 AM|
Oh man! I struggled with this the last few days.
Here is what helped me:
1. Complete Google's instructions
Only thing wrong is my main calendar’s color is different than when I view it on google.com. All the other colors are correct.
Also, I did not use Exchange…strictly gmail iMap.
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||jpleonard||1/18/11 10:04 AM|
Also, the reason I use google over mobile me was for the ease...however, this was a headache!

|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||SirFragsMore||2/23/11 1:49 PM|
Iphone workaround - allows you just to add the link directly in the iPhone settings.
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||jwhiklo||2/24/11 9:15 PM|
So my understanding is that a calendar sharing only free/busy information will not display in the iPhone default calendar.
Not a sports calendar (or other premium content), this is my wife's calendar.
I have seen it work in GooCalFree, so apparently it is just a Google vs Apple thing. So there is an option for you.

@ldvg Nice tip. Calendars tho "selectable"can't be synced. http://twitpic.com/46g2xb
Nearly 1.5 years since first post and still no "fix" for the licensing issue. :/
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||kidamk||3/18/11 12:00 PM|
are jewish holidays are considered a Sports Calendar? because i can't sync this one too...
|Re: iPhone - Google sync, not all calendars appear?||wabnaki||3/18/11 1:31 PM|
@kidamk I believe so it would fall under "other premium content". So in a way, yes.

Does Google check in here now & then? I'd like to know if a solution is coming.
For now I'll enter my Giants' games manually.
