Explain your issue in full detail here:
Gmail account certificate
THIS IS NOT A TIME AND/OR DATE ISSUE!
I was using AVAST, tried MS Security, and now AVG.
I had a malware, (PC Total Defender), which I removed with Malawarebytes.
Somehow, Gmail now has an expired "certificate." I tried deleting IE8 and reinstalling, but no help.
Everytime I use GMAIL it is unsecured.
How can I get and install a new "certificate?"
I'd rather live with this than re-install XP
Please Also Include:
Operating system (e.g. WinXP):
Program and version you use to access Gmail (e.g. Internet Explorer 7 or Outlook 2003):
Your antivirus software (e.g. Norton 2007):
Any extensions, toolbars or plug-ins:

No...I never was able to fix it. I even deleted the "certificate" and installed a current one from another computer. The old one persisted!!!
Now I downloaded Firefox and that works just fine with google mail. When IE9 comes out I am going to delete IE8 and all traces left over and see if IE9 will work.
I'm usually pretty good with this stuff, but this one has me licking my wounds!
OTOH, nobody here has an answer either, other than the stupid date thing.
