Explain your issue in full detail here:

You attempted to reach mail.google.com, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as www.google.com

...I am getting this message *almost* every time I try and login to a gmail or google apps email account.  It happens most of the time, but not every time.

I have verified my Virus Scan is updated/working and no other problems exist on the multiple computers I have tested from.

Please Also Include:
Operating system:  Windows XP SP3
Program and version you use to access Gmail: Google Chrome
Your antivirus software: McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise 8.7i
Any extensions, toolbars or plug-ins: None

Also, on several occasions the custom image (in place of the GMail logo) in google apps email or calendars does not display, but shows a broken image icon instead.
