Explain your issue in full detail here: i would like to reopen my gmail account because i have a link to a personal ad in my gmail inbox.  i need to edit or delete this ad asap.  the personal ad i have automatically reposts itself every 3 days.  the reason i need to edit or delete this ad asap is because my real phone number is displayed in the ad and i do not want the ad linked to my identity after glance and it also cost money to automatically repost and i am not quite sure how that happened without my consent :(
i deleted my account abruptly because my house was broken into on september 9th and the individuals who broke into my house also took my personal info including my purse so i shut down my email address hastily withought giving thought to the importance of my inbox :(

The Account Recovery Form can sometimes restore a recently deleted account.  That's your only option.  See:

Does this mean an older deleted account can't be restored?  I've been trying to regain my deleted account from 2009 and have tried for the past year to do so.  :-(

I will, but I'm starting to lose hope.  It seems like I can't find the magical right assortment of answers and dates.  Plus my verification code was deleted long ago in my secondary account.  I wish I had a real google person to help me. I'd even pay for live support-I just want my account back.

And I wish Gmail had per-incident paid support (like Micro$oft has) for those people who REALLY need it.

Any way to flag this for Google to help me or can I get live support if I pay for an account?  Or maybe I can pay in sweets.  My wife makes great cookies!  My gmail was  Thank you for your help bkc56!!

Per above, there's no live support for Gmail (you'd need to have a paid Google Apps account).

But I'll take a cookie.   :-)

Bummer cookie monster. So one final question and then I'll stop tying up the forum. If I sign up for the google apps account, will google help me with the free account I lost or only on the new apps account?  I really appreciate the help!  Thank you!

As far as I know, the support would be for the Google Apps account.  But I don't have a paid account (just a free Apps one) so I've never talked to customer service.

I am having the same problem with trying to retrieve my account.  I even have the original verification code.  However, google just sends me the same response that they are sending you:
I have re-sent this request about five (5) times and no-luck.  I get the same response.  I would also gladly pay to get this fixed.  Heck I would pay a lot.  My problem is simple to fix.  However, it is a google problem.  The problem is with my gmail evidently not existing anymore.  This problem started showing up when my free google apps account got setup.  I think that because my gmail account had the same log-on name as my google apps email address, that when my google apps account got setup, it messed up my gmail account.  I so need to have my gmail account working again.  I would gladly pay to have this fixed, but I am not willing to pay and not have this problem resolved.  I have been considering trying paid support for google apps to see if this issue can be fixed, but I do not want to pay, only to find out that this issue cannot be fixed by the google apps team.

Juliavh, please post if you have any luck with the google apps team. I've pretty much given up on google's account recovery form.  Perhaps they'll begin recycling names or offering paid support.
