A few things can you please explain us
Which flash versions are you using
Does this happen only with Chrome? IE?  FF? Safari? (which version of flash for each)
Does disabling GPU acceleration help?
Go to settings -> First display tab -> deselect “Enable hardware acceleration”
Restart the browser
Try to play the video
What video card and drivers you have? OS you are using?
Which sites does it happen? Every site or specific sites?
Can you able to send us your system info at this link           http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/839/cpsid_83952.html

I get this exact error too.  I have reinstalled Chrome as it only happens in Chrome, did not fix it.  It appears on almost all sites, using Windows 7.  Chrome has been working fine for a long time, this has only started happening over the last month or so.

I do not know how to disable GPU acceleration in chrome, there is no settings tab?

Same thing here in the last month or so.  Chrome update must have done the trick.  I was using only Chrome, but this is so annoying now that I went back to Firefox and IE.  If it doesn't get fixed soon, I may forget there is Chrome out-there.  Let's see how the new IE behaves.

Now Crashing on all loads 100% of the time even on iGoogle page. I have tried reinstalling Flash but to no avail.
Time to move browsers again, would prefer just to use an alternative engine for Flash - Come on Goggle code that one up please.
Re: Plug-in crash (shockwave flash and google grears error?) COMICMAN 3/22/11 5:31 AM
following up, I'm still getting the crash, but it's not limited to Flash, I get google gears 0.5.33.0 one like the OP, and Silverlight.  The flash one is 100% of the time though, so by far the worst.

It clears after a restart, then I can browse with it working perfectly, but eventually it crashes, and does so on all subsequent browsing.  It is not particular to a website.

"The following plug-in has crashed: Shockwave Flash"

Recently started getting this error on any page using flash.

Using Chrome 10.0.648.151

I've been having the same problem with Shockwave repeatedly crashing in the last few weeks (annoying that I had to investigate this in the first place!) - I also re-installed Chrome to no avail a few days ago.

Then I tried this tonight and so far so good:

Go to wrench icon
Go into options / settings
Under the hood / bonnet
Click 'content settings'
Click 'Plug-ins' tab
Click 'disable individual plug-ins'

If you've previously installed Adobe Flash separately, you'll see two files listed for the plug-in. To disable a specific version of Adobe Flash, click Details in the upper-right corner of the page. The version of Adobe Flash that's been built in to Google Chrome shows the file gcswf32.dll in its location field. Disable this one.
Restart the browser and you should be good to go. If you don't already have Flash installed outside Chrome, just download it from their site.

This was on another google help forum about Flash...and it seems to have resolved the problem I've been having with shockwave.

Check this out: http://www.shockwave.com/help/faq_flashplayer.jsp#link1.2. I downloaded the lastest schockwave version, and I think it is working fine. We'll see. It has only been about 18 hours.

I found a conflict with messenger which was running in the background.  When I closed messenger the crashes stopped too.

I had the same problem. The best solution is to uninstall google chrome and then download it. It will 100% work please keep me updated on how it goes on...

Google Chrome        11.0.696.65 (Official Build 84435)
Operating System: Windows XP3 Build 2600
Error Message:Shockwave Crash

Think I found the work around for shockwave crash

Type about:plugins (in your browser).

On the right side of the page (upper right corner is a "Details Link"--click it. This will expand everything
You should see 2 different version of Shockwave Flash click DISABLE for the Google Home Brew Version

You can tell it's the Google Home Brew version as the Installation location will have "CHROME" in the link.

It will look something like this...(at the end of the long line).
......Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\11.0.696.65\gcswf32.dll

The one you want to KEEP enabled will look something like this....

install location......system32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.dll

close--restart your browser......

Edit--By the way, after I did this.....Chrome is running EASILY 2x faster than before....(please let me know how it words for you).
