|Google Chrome won't run for other users, only administrator||johnirizarry||11/25/09 6:49 PM|
I love Google Chrome. It works great for me as administrator. However, I cannot get it to run for another user on the same machine. When you click Start, at the top, under Internet, Google Chrome is the onIy program shown. However, nothing happens when you click on it. I tried sharing the application folder when logged on as administrator; but, when I switch to the other user, that folder still does not show up.
How can I get it to run for other users?
Google Chrome version: 0.0.0
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium, service pack 2

Not sure if this is related, but...
Chrome is installed on a per-user basis. Meaning, it's only installed for that user that installed it. If you installed it for the Admin account, and then try to use it on other accounts, it won't work.
So you would have two options:
* Install Chrome for every profile you want to use Chrome.
* Uninstall Chrome, and then install Chrome via the Google Pack instead. When you install Chrome via the Google Pack, it installs Chrome into Program Files (rather than each user's AppData/local folder), so that all users can use it.
See if that helps.
