|why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||KusaiNeko||12/19/08 8:15 PM|
google chrome can't connect to the internet. and i can only make it work if i run the google web accelerator with it. firefox works just fine even without the accelerator. firewall isn't blocking chrome. did the web accelerator make changes to my computer or is it a problem with the settings on chrome?2008-12-20
oh yeah when i try to use chrome i get this error: Error 104 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_FAILED): The attempt to connect to the server failed.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||joebob1120||12/20/08 12:10 AM|
Ah, excellent. I've been having this same problem, and am completely at a loss for what to do. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome, disabling and enabling the Local Area Connection, and even tried a couple system restores to a point when Chrome was working for me, and I still have nothing. I also cannot get some of my other programs to connect to the Internet, like Yahoo! Instant Messenger, Steam, and Skype. Firefox and Internet Explorer are working fine, so I can't understand why Google Chrome won't connect. There isn't much choice in the Google Chrome options, so I wasn't able to tinker with anything there. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1, and I've tried using both wireless and wired connections, to no effect. I'm getting the same Error 104 message as KusaiNeko. Since Firefox and Explorer are working, I assumed it was a Chrome problem, but now that my Y! Instant Messenger, Skype, and Steam won't connect, I'm not so sure.
Thanks for any help!
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||Fred McCall||1/11/09 4:16 PM|
I'm moving over to a machine running 64-bit Vista and see problems with Chrome any time the Outbound Firewall (in Windows Advanced Firewall) is enabled. I've added an exception to the firewall for chrome.exe, but this doesn't help. Doing the same thing for Internet Explorer (exception for iexplore.exe) solves the problem for that browser. What process is actually trying to go through the firewall for Chrome? With outbound checking enabled it acts as if the internet connection is dead. I see lots of problems with people having trouble with this or that firewall in combination with Chrome. Surely someone must know the solution to these issues, but I don't find it.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||gbkreddy||1/25/09 7:18 AM|
This is due to fire-wall (antivirus based or windows default). Once firewall is disabled, i am able to access chrome without any problems.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||ikram||1/25/09 9:43 AM|
i turned the firewall off but it still does not connect to the internet giving an error 2
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||Fred McCall||1/25/09 12:01 PM|
My problem is definitely due to the outbound firewall. However, I think "turn off the firewall" is generally a bad solution (although that's what I'm having to do right now). Everything else I can enable by telling the firewall to set an exception for the program (set exception for 'iexplore.exe', for example). However, this doesn't work for 'chrome.exe' for some reason, so I assume that Chrome is trying to start up something else and that something else isn't on the list of exceptions (and thuse I have no clue what program to tell it to let through). If Windows Advanced Firewall would notify you when it blocks something OUTBOUND instead of just notifying when it blocks inbound connections, this would be a much easier problem to solve.
If your problem is an outbound firewall, you won't even get a status message back. Chrome will just report that no internet connection is available.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||Gyosho||2/4/09 8:55 AM|
Yes I have the same problem. Chrome was accessing the internet when I first installed it but now 'nada' 'nothing'! I use the Zone Alarm Firewall on XP Pro. I have tied allowing it 'nothing'! I turned the firewall off completely and Chrome will still not access the internet. Come on Google. If you build a browser make sure that it works on everyone's PC. I have never had this problem with Firefox ever! It's a real shame because I like Google stuff and I would really like to use Chrome but I am not going to spend eons trying to get it to work! Especially if noone else on here can. Come on Google get it sorted!!

Does the advice in the below thread help answer your question?
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||Russputin||2/28/09 12:40 PM|
What are Google thinking of ?
After the Vista fiasco, you would have thought that the big boys would test thier products more thoroughly. Chrome as it stands is barely fit to qualify as a beta release.
I have Vista home premium 32bit running Trend Internet Security with an exception for Chrome. Despite this I was having the same problems as KusaiNeko.
I tried using Chrome ( downloaded last week) as my default browser but after trying most of the suggested fixes without success I just gave up with it.
To be honest I dont know why I even considered leaving Firefox in the first place, curiosity I suppose. I really liked all of my other Google apps, though this has made me think twice about any future Google stuff.
Firefox is working fine since I swapped back at the default program option and there have been no lasting problems. I am dismayed that Google have not seen fit to resolve this yet
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||mike shep||3/20/09 2:31 PM|
I had the same problem, but neither Chrome or IE worked, but Firefox worked fine. If the problem isnt with your fire wall try this. After a little poking around I found that IE and Chrome both use the same type of means to access the internet so, this is what worked for me.
Open IE and on the menu: Tools -> Internet Options
Hit the Connections tab, then hit the LAN Settings button and UNCHECK
"Use a proxy server for your LAN", then OK both windows.
refresh the browser and both Chrome & IE should work.
hope this helps.

There are a number of reasons why you may be encountering this message. The following may apply and let us know if it helps:
A. Adjust your proxy settings
1. Click the Tools menu.
2. Select Options.
3. Click the Under the Hood tab.
4. Click Change proxy settings. This opens Windows' Internet Properties dialog box.
5. Click LAN Settings.
6. Make sure that the 'Automatically detect settings' checkbox is selected.
7. Click OK for all dialog boxes.
B. Allow Google Chrome in your antivirus and firewall settings
Check your software's help resources for further instructions.

|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||quarterlife||4/1/09 9:13 PM|
I had the same problem as everyone else. IE & Firefox worked and Chrome suddenly stopped working. I uninstalled Chrome and then reinstalled - still not working. Finally, I checked my Norton firewall settings (PC Security/Manage Firewall/Program Rules) and scrolled down to Chrome. Sure enough, "Access" was set to "Block" for Chrome. I am 99% sure that I didn't block Chrome manually. The only thing that I can think of is that Norton somehow didn't like what Chrome was doing and suddenly blocked it. Very mysterious...
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||emylanec||4/2/09 5:03 AM|
i have 2 firewalls. windows firewall and XMicro Personal Firewall. Both have Google Chrome as exceptions. Still i can not have connection. It says"Error 104 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_FAILED): The attempt to connect to the server failed.
ive been using google chrome for about 2mos and this is the only time i had this problem. So, i dunno what really happen..
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||Dave_64||4/5/09 12:29 PM|
Go into FIREFOX and download and install ADOBE FLASH PLAYER 10. This will clear everything up. Don't assume that if you update Firefox that Adobe Flash Player 10 will be installed. Download it and do it yourself. Please post a note if this works for you. Thanks......Dave.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||emylanec||4/7/09 8:34 PM|
do i really have to download it from firefox? i tried installing it from IE and it still not working.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||emylanec||4/7/09 8:43 PM|
i downloaded firefox. same problems. cant connect to internet. i am now using only windows firewall.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||Dave_64||4/8/09 7:08 AM|
Yes it must be downloaded from FIREFOX. IE uses Active X, Chrome and Firefox use Adobe Flash Player. If you don't have Firefox on your computer you can find the download on Google. Let me know how you make out........Dave
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||Dave_64||4/8/09 7:14 AM|
REMEMBER.......DON'T ASSUME THAT IF YOU DOWNLOAD OR UPDATE FIREFOX THAT YOU AUTOMATICALLY WILL GET ADOBE FLASH PLAYER 10. DOWNLOAD IT AND INSTALL IT YOURSELF........Dave
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||drheim||4/9/09 11:12 AM|
I have a similar problem to a lot of posts in this thread and I downloaded flash player and it has absolutely nothing to do with it. For me the problem is that I block outgoing connections through my firewall and on the computers that I use windows firewall they will not work with Chrome. That simple. I have double checked it and program exceptions that should be allowed through an outbound firewall will work with IE, etc but not with Chrome and I triple checked my firewall rule and the chrome program path,etc. For me the problem is more with the Vista Firewall than Chrome. If I just leave the inbound firewall enabled then Chrome works fine with my exception. With the Vista outbound firewall enabled the "program exception" rules do not allow it through. They only way I can get it to work is to create a different firewall rule that allows all programs to establish connections to remote ports 80,443, etc and that is not and option for me when it comes to security. It could have something to do with Chrome being installed in the user profile instead of program files or whatever. On computers that have ZoneAlarm I was able to add in the same path and Chrome worked fine, I was a big fan of the former sygate firewall when using WinXP and it is a good bet that would also work with Chrome for those still on XP.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||AbsoluteFlooring||6/10/09 8:14 AM|
Google Chrome wasn't able to "find" any websites for me two days ago. Which of course means it couldn't connect to the internet. Tried all solutions I could find. Finally completely uninstalled Norton/Symantec and it works again. That means Norton was blocking it. And to think, I had let my subscription to Symantec elapse and disabled Norton/Symantec services from start up and running in the background. Or so I thought.
My guess is that Symantec did an auto-update and that some companies just aren't taking in to consideration Chrome when they do internet security updates to their software running on people's machines.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||catrahal||6/10/09 2:20 PM|
I also tried downloading Flash Player 10. No dice. I use the same machine at work & at home. It's an HP laptop running XP Pro SP3. I have SonicWall hardware firewalls at both locations, a TZ150 at home and a TZ170 at work. Chrome worked in both locations until a week ago. There have been no changes to the computer, and no changes to the networks, either at home or at work. But.....Chrome works fine at the office, not so much at home. Can't put my finger on the issue yet, but I think it is a Chrome problem....too bad because I kind of like Chrome for quick stuff.

I also had triuble in curing this inability of Chrome to connect to the internet. The only solution that worked for me was that suggested by Brian H at
As soon as I deleted some of the Google folders in /Local Settings/Application Data/Google/Chrome I was immediately able to re-connect to the internet through Chrome.
So, many thanks to Brian H.

I know lots are being plagued by this predicament of "Error 2 (net::ERR_FAILED): Unknown error." And here is the solution I achieved in Vista Firewall. When adding a rule, Vista typically uses variables in its file path, such that the following being Chrome's rule path:
But when I convert the file path to be more "direct" like:
P.S. I am sure other OS users facing the same problem will find the above solution competent.

|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||mookiemu||10/10/09 10:19 AM|
mychrome's solution works and it works for a few of the other programs that have similar problems. Here it is again:
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||mookiemu||10/10/09 11:11 AM|
mmecompguy: the reason chrome portable works is because when you make a rule for it, the default is for Windows Firewall to make a a direct absolute path for it because it knows that it is portable, on the installation of chrome, it makes a path with variables, ie: %USERPROFILE%.
If you find the direct path with no variables, chrome works perfectly with windows firewall.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||bglazierjr||10/11/09 8:07 PM|
WOW after everything I finally found my own solution. I had the problem where I was using everything just fine and all the sudden IE worked but Google Chrome wasn't. I had treid everything that I could think of and then it hit me, the only changes I had been making were removing some start up items and some unnessecary services. I disable Norton Internet Security which in turn disallowed me from using alot of internet related programs. All I did was go into my services and re-enable it and I was good to go! Check for any internet protection related services being shut off. This could be YOUR problem. Hope that Helps

I am using chrome in my office network and it can't connect to internet either. All setting are same as IE. However, after i did the step 6 below, which disables auto network setting detection. it works !!!!!
A. Adjust your proxy settings
1. Click the Tools menu.
2. Select Options.
3. Click the Under the Hood tab.
4. Click Change proxy settings. This opens Windows' Internet Properties dialog box.
5. Click LAN Settings.
6. Make sure that the 'Automatically detect settings' checkbox is *UNCHECKED*.
7. Click OK for all dialog boxes.

I just resolved my problem by adjusted some settings in firewall...
I used Netlimiter 2 pro, and under firewall tab i found out windows is disabled outgoing activiteis of chrome, all i did is just enable it, and everything works for me again.
It took me a while to fiture out the solution, hope this method works for you too
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||DelphiDash||11/18/09 7:18 PM|
I thinnk I've tried just about every method on this page and gotten nowhere with trying to get Google Chrome back online. I first encountered the problem two nights ago when, on startup, Googel Chrome out of the blue could not connect to the internet. I tried several wireless connections and an ethernet cord as well with no luck. Internet Explorer is working as well as IE works (this program always runs slow on my computer, hence why I decided to try Chrome a month ago or so). At first I was getting the 104: Unknown error, "Connection Failed", but after toggling with both the Firewall and Proxy settings I now get Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Unknown error.
I have tried taking down Vista's Firewall, uninstalling and re-installing Chrome, and several different internet locations. I looked into locating the block files for my virus software but can't find them and don't want to mess around with them too much, but I think my software may be what's doing this. Several people reported problems with Chrome running with Norton/Symantec and what I have is a school-bought simple Symantec program. Any tips? I fear that I may have lost my battle with trying to get Chrome back, but it was such a lovely program and I can't express my dislike of IE and Firefox enough.

FIXED!!!!!!!!!! Firewall rule setting. Firewall was set to allow C:\Users\MYUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe but a little checkbox for any was not checked. Checked it and fixed. I use Bitdefender so with whatever program you use for a firewall set C:\Users\MYUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe to ALLOW ALLOW ALLOW LOL. Fixed it for me and i have been strugling with this issue for about 3 weeeks

I uninstalled and reinstall it! It still doesn't work!!! I already turned off my firewall!!!! I used to love Google products! I used t love chrome, but now, as this never happens in other browsers, I've to say goodbye to chrome, and since i won't be using chrome anymore, I will eventually get over with my orkut account too, where chatting is not available for other browsers. And I think I don't love my Google desktop toolbar anymore because of this!!! And, g-mail??? I've permanent yahoo ids!!!
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||bglazierjr||11/20/09 5:56 AM|
I also noted that after trying everything else, it was as simple as uninstalling Macaffe without using the provided unistallation program that you can download online. This leaves the service still active on the computer, which you wouldn't know, but won't let you run things like Google Chrome. Maybe look into that? Just check all your running services, it could be anything that stupid, but I assure you it is not a big problem, just a tedious one.

Thank you so much, mike shep... I just spent 2+ hours going through a diff of my registry thinking something I had done caused the problem, but I unchecked the IE setting and now IE, Chrome, Steam and I bet my Neverwinter 2 Updater (though I don't want to update because I'm mid-game) all works again!
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||SkyDancer59||12/28/09 5:13 PM|
Thank you for the answers! It was the LAN Settings. I had Malware try to load itself onto my computer, which created a pretty damaging loop (had to go into DOS and erase the files). Luckily, Chrome kept it from getting any further as it appears to be a program that automatically installs itself on your computer. When I got control of my computer again, Chrome wouldn't work. It WAS the automatic detect thing - don't know how it got altered, but unchecking the box fixed my problems.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||Terpi||3/4/10 7:09 AM|
I'm having the same problem . However the LAN Settings are correct. I even did a system restore but that didn't change anything either.
I'm sure there is a security thing happening, but for the life of me don't know what. Everything works fine on my laptop -its my desktop that's giving me a problem.
I will get to the bottom of it - but if anyone has more suggestions I'd appreciate it. When I do figure it out I'll post it here.

Believe it or not, Dave_64s solution worked for me.
I tried everything on all of these lists and gave that a shot as a 'try everything' strategy, .... and IT WORKED!
So installing Flash 10 on Mozilla Firefox (which was working fine), fixed the problem of Google Chrome not accessing the internet.
The sudden nature of Chrome not working could have been due to a previous installation of Flash on Firefox. Who knows?
There has to be a reason for this, as it worked for both Dave_64 and myself.....so don't discount it.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||BobBauer||4/13/10 9:52 AM|
BTW, here is the reason that my Chrome was not working: it was malware coming in through a known security hole in previous versions of Flash 10. Coming in through Firefox.
Here is the issue: http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb10-06.html
INstalling the update in Mozilla fixed the problem.
Hope this helps someone.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||xxxkiller||4/15/10 10:34 PM|
I had this problem after getting one of the spyware viruses online the one I got calle (Antivirus 2010) I got rid of it pretty quickly this time. And ended up having the conflict in proxy.
You can reset the proxy settings form chrome also by going to (customize and Control Google Chrome) then change proxy setting. At this point you will get the same menu IE uses. Then go to Local Area Network (LAN) setting then hit LAN setting un-check all boxes and hit ok or apply at the end, then refresh chrome it should work fine.
This is also an issue related to other browsers like (opera, Safari but not Firefox) After I did all of the above all of them worked fine including Chrome, of course.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||Asfur||4/30/10 2:48 AM|
I'm having same problems, cannot connect with chrome. Internet Explorer works fine now THANKS to all of you it was to un-check the proxy server. Only Fire Fox worked. It seems it happens when I was infected by a "Trojan Horse Generic 17.BWIK" and
a "Trojan Horse SHeur.UHL", when I reply to a post for a Thread I posted. I have removed the threat and got to fix Fire Fox to work, which also wasn't connecting. But now G'Chrome still cannot connect. I do not want to loose Chrome History so re-setting would be my last option and uninstall and install will be out of the question. Is there a way around this. I am using XP Pro on a desktop and DSL. I have Played around with "C:\Documents and Settings\user profile\local settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe". but I do not know if I done something wrong here. Thanks any suggestion welcome and appreciated. I love Google Chrome, I had it for very long time never failed.
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||Liono||5/15/10 1:06 PM|
Got it working:
I'm using Windows 7 64 bit. It did work and then stopped. I have set my Win7 firewall to block all outgoing connections which is not the default. If you add a program to the firewall rules and select chrome-exe from the relevant folder it only puts an exception in INCOMING rules. So you need to go to OUTBOUND rules and also allow chrome.exe full access from there. Sorted it on mine.

If anyone is still having this issue, there's a way for you to provide us with more information that might shed light on what's going on. If none of the above suggestions resolved your problem, can you follow the below steps to help us out?
1. Click on one of the following links to download a test-build version of Google Chrome:
Download for Windows: http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/continuous/win/LATEST/chrome-win32.zip
Download for Mac: http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/continuous/mac/LATEST/chrome-mac.zip
2 Open Chromium:
Windows: Extract the zip file. When that is complete, go to Start > All Programs > Chromium.
Mac: Save and open the chrome-mac.zip file, which will unzip it into a folder. Open the folder, and open Chromium.
3. Navigate to “chrome://net-internals/#tests”
4. Enter the URL that failed to load (or any random URL like http://www.google.com if it fails on all URLs) and click “Start tests.”
5. The results of various experiments are shown in a table. Copy all of the results in the table and paste them into a reply on this thread.

Alright, so I had this problem, and fixed it. There was malware (root kit malware - google it for more information) running on the system. IE would run fine for me, in fact all browsers would run, but Google Chrome, for some reason would not run with this malware infecting the root of the computer. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling chrome. I used COMBOFIX (http://www.combofix.org/) freeware anti-rootkit removal software and Google Chrome now works, as well as my system being a bit safer.
Please make backups of everything on your computer before running combo fix.

Chrome's been failing to connect for the past 2 hours or so, since about Yesterday it's been blindingly slow as well. A download went down to 17kbs and only 2 tabs were open. I doubt it was an extension conflict since until now I've had no issue, I've been using Opera instead. Works perfectly. And since it's not giving me issues with Google sites anymore, I may switch permanently. I haven't had as much hassle with any browser.

ALL, if you use McAfee - you have to go in to the firewall permission settings and switch it from "block" to "full." Why it changed, I have no idea. But, I am now leaving this response in Google Chrome.

|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||Shol||10/8/10 9:11 PM|
mike shep's reply (Level 2 3/21/09) fixed my issue.
I am running a Samsung Galaxy S mobile phone with internet access and wanted to use the 'Mobile AP' setting in the phone to turn it into a wireless modem.
I could see the phone in my wireless network connections, and I could connect to it from my MSI netbook running XP.
But both Google chrome and firefox wouldn't access internet. Mike's suggestion fixed the issue, and I'm now able to use my phone as a modem to send this in from my PC - thanks!

Hey everyone.... I used the advice posted by SHAWN and it WORKED !!! I
I actually had a virus and a trojan that set all my browsers to accept an internet proxy. You need to disable this in every browser !!!
I still can't get on IE at all though. As soon as I click the icon I get a message saying IE has crashed and the page never even loads. Oh well.. I only use Firefox and Chrome so no biggie.

|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||gileet84||1/11/11 7:16 AM|
First make sure you don't have a trojan virus. Download Malwarebytes, install it, run full scan then quarantine and delete infected objects. Now Click the wrench icon on the top right, click "options", click "under the hood", click "change proxy settings", click "advanced", click "reset".
If you have a dropper virus that does not allow any program to run/open, turn of your pc, turn it on and immediately start pressing F8, open it in "safe mode with networking". Now log in and system restore to an earlier time. When finished log in normally (not in safe mode) This will not remove the virus but will temporarily allow programs to run.
You will most likely have to download Malwarebytes on another pc and put it on a flash drive and install it on infected pc because your IE and other browsers on infected pc will not work. Once you have Malwarebytes installed on infected pc, then proceed with the full scan, quarantine and deletion of the infected objects as mentioned above.
Now do the following. This is what worked for me. Click the wrench icon on the top right, click "options", click "under the hood", click "change proxy settings", click "advanced", click "reset".

hey guys, i got this error, Error 10 (net::ERR_ACCESS_DENIED): Unknown error. only after i tried to install gmail voice and video chat. After i clicked ok for change the settings on your computer, gmail wanted me to restart my browser. After doing that, google chrome stopped working. This same error happened before too for my computer, but all i did was wait(about 2-3 months) and one day google chrome suddenly started working again. Hopefully i won't have to wait that long again and someone can come up with a solution that works for me.
BTW I USE WINDOWS 7 AND MCAFEE FIREWALL

It sounds like you need to update your McAfee Firewall to allow Chrome to pass through.
The reference link below provides more details. Thanks.

|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||Raghunath N||3/2/11 10:17 PM|
The problem wasl due to the firewall. I too had the same problem. I can access internet in IE but not in Google Chrome. I have gone through the settings of Chrome Including LAN. At last I found that the firewall was blocking the google Chrome to access Internet. I allowed the permission in Firewall ( Panda AV). Now its perfectly working well. I suggest you all to go through the Firewall sttings of Antivirus 99.99% the problem will be solved.

|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||P.M.D||5/19/11 12:34 AM|
I had the same problem and when I disabled "block connection when threat detected in a share folder" in my McAfee, it resolved!
Maybe if unchecking proxy for lan doesn't work, it can be a firewall or antivirus (security software!) related!
|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||pred62||6/14/11 4:58 PM|
Had the same issues with my new PC running windows 7. I fixed it with the following:-
1. Click 'Start, and enter "ncpa.cpl" (Without quotations) and press Enter.
2. Right click on the LAN connection and then click "properties"
3. Click to select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and then click "properties"
4. In the internet Protocol window change the"preferred DNS server" to 18.104.22.168
5. Click OK to complete the modification
Try opening google Chrome again and hopefully all will be well.

|Re: why can't google chrome connect to the internet?||Sie_Deen||11/21/11 3:44 PM|
For folks who have McAfee's antivirus, please try removing Chrome from the firewall list, and re-add Chrome to the list.
@mstem5581, do you get an error when Chrome stops to connect to the internet?
Are you able to access the same site using another browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.)?
Can you try the following:
1. Make sure you are using the latest Chrome version (wrench icon -> About Google Chrome). Ref.
2. Does the site load if you try it with an Incognito window (Ctrl+Shift+N)?
- If it does, try clearing your browsing history
- If that doesn't help, try disabling your extensions

I cann't get it to even install it tells me i have no connection to the internet. So, of course, I can't enter this complaint.

I had the same problem of Chrome not connecting to the internet and have another solution. I stopped all the versions of chrome running in the background by going to the task manager using control, alt and delete. When they are all stopped then try chrome again
