Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. MisterMistral 6/29/10 5:32 PM
Please describe your question/comment in detail (for example, steps to reproduce the problem):
Google Chrome version (type about:version into the address bar):
Operating System:Error Message:Crash ID (follow the steps here: http://goo.gl/fKKK):URLs (if applicable):Extensions installed:

This problems started about 6 months ago.

Followed all instructions per http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=108086.
Restarted browser, went to page where error always occurs. Now says "Plug-in missing"
URL: http://www.smh.com.au In "Video" section, down left side of page.

Went back to Tools page and enabled Shockwave Flash again. Went back to web page. Same symptoms as before:
If the video is an auto-play video, it will play on its own
If not, even though I can see the "Play" triangle in the middle of the video, clicking on it does nothing
If it is an auto-play video and I click on the Pause button, it does nothing.
If I right-click on the video screen I get a flash configuration menu but am unable to click on any of the selections -- the menu freezes on the screen and the only way to get rid of it is to refresh the page.
Any flash videos running full page become very jerky with frame rate about 1 frame per second and moving the cursor around the screen is very slow.
All videos play fine in IE or Firefox, Safari. No issues. Problem is only with Chrome.

This started happening with Chrome about six months ago and have been unable to solve it.

STILL NO HELP FROM GOOGLE.  THIS PROBLEM WON'T GO AWAY.

HEY GOOGLE PEOPLE. HOW ABOUT SOME HELP ON THIS ONE?????
Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. jnettik 8/4/10 10:14 AM
This drives me crazy about Chrome - many blog sites with embedded video in the page/blog simply does nothing - just a blank white spot on the page; If you right mouse click in the blank white area you get: " About Adobe Flash Player 10...", otherwise you wouldn't even know there was anything missing.  I've tried using the Windows Adobe Flash uninstaller, but when you go to Adobe, it states that Chrome has the most current version of Flash installed: 10,1,53,64.
Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. MisterMistral 8/4/10 2:38 PM
I get a different scenario still: Some embedded flash objects will play--however, when they start up in autostart everything slows down-- the frame rate of the video is about 1/3 what it should be and the video and audio are often out of synch and moving the mouse cursor it just jumps from place to place rather than moving smoothly.

Right-click the area over the video and I get a pop-up menu that has Zoom In, Show All, Quality, Print, Settings, Global Settings, About, etc. But clicking on any of the options does nothing except freeze the screen, which can only be unfrozen by refreshing the page.

I've uninstalled Chrome  and reinstalled several times, uninstalled and re-installed every flash program variant several times, cleared temp files, erased cookies--you name it--nothing makes any difference. As much as I like the speed and other features of Chrome I'm just about to ditch it altogether -- and even more disappointed in the inability to get ANYONE from Google to respond to requests for assistance. Very poor form from Google.

Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. MisterMistral 8/29/10 4:29 PM
Now, for some reason this week -- without me doing anything at all -- suddenly the flash items that haven't been playing for 8 months in Chrome are now working. Seems Google may have issued a fix in a recent update without mentioning it.
Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. alexparr 9/4/10 4:35 AM
I am not a techy person at all and I have no idea of how to uninstall, install, look for what version what is, etc., etc.  I used to be on Vista where Chrome was great, then upgraded to Windows 7.  I blip a lot on Blip.FM and suddenly I can't see the videos and on YouTube it says that I am missing plug-ins.  After refreshing the page several times, it then plays the video.  Have I pressed something that I shouldn't.  How do I get the missing plug-ins?  I have no idea what to do about this and any help would be greatly appreciated, but remember I am a complete ignoramus when it comes to techy things - so layman speak would be great.  Many thanks, in advance, for any help. Alex.

Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. MisterMistral 9/27/10 4:04 PM
No I didn't do anything, not even a Flash update--it just started working again one day for no apparent reason. Suspect it must have been a result of a Chrome automatic Update.

One thing you might try that I've had some luck on with fixing other similar things is a program called "Wise Registry Cleaner". It's free and seems to fix lots of windows related things associated with Registry errors. Google it and you'll find a download location for it.
Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. maikr 12/7/10 9:46 AM
Same thing as jnettik describes happens overhere. Strange thing is that some Flash animations are shown correctly, it seems like Flash Video is the problem.

Example:
This one works fine - http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/mastercollection/
But this one doesn't - http://tv.adobe.com/watch/adc-presents/preview-of-the-edge-prototype-tool-for-html5-/

???

Best regards,

Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. MisterMistral 12/7/10 12:18 PM
Very frustrating. Dunno why this sort of thing has to happen. I still don't know what caused my flash vids to start working again. Since about Sept 1 I've had no problems but I didn't do anything to fix it.  It just started working properly on its own one day.

I got the same problem

about:
Example:
This one works fine - http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/mastercollection/
But this one doesn't - http://tv.adobe.com/watch/adc-presents/preview-of-the-edge-prototype-tool-for-html5-/

None videos from http://tv.adobe.com  site
will play in any browser on my Windows 7 32 bit
I8, Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari!!!
I have tried to download Adobe.com flash unstaller
and installed Flash plug-in and ActiveX
Still the same problem, and I have tried every security settings!
I have tried to reset IE8 to factory settings by resetting all configurations
(advanced tab)

Please, We really don't want more .... try this, try that...
WE WANT "THE SOLUTION"!!! Not guess work!
We have been there. done that and bought the t-shirt!!!

THIS IS a common problem serveral users have.

Thanks.

Strange thing is that it works fine on my MacBook Pro... within Chrome.
It also does in Firefox on my PC, but not in Chrome or IE8.

Uninstall, reinstall, etc. nothing works. On PC I'm using the DEV version of Chrome.

Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. Biiim 12/17/10 3:38 AM
Same problem loading an embedded flash video, would be nice to know a fix for the problem.

When i link to the .swf file itself there is no problem at all, however if i want to embed the movie it usually loads once then after each refresh wont load at all. This is going to prove an issue for chrome users when the site finally goes live as it will have to be embedded if we want to display any html to guide users to a none flash alternative as well as if we wanted to use the google analytics

I've checked this in IE, FireFox and Safari these all have no problem loading the flash movie repeatedly

If anyone knows of some setting i can put into the flash embed code that fixes this problem it would be appreciated, lucky most of our customers are still on ie or it would become an issue!

You can see it happening on the page here:
http://www.merrehill.co.uk/samples/cap-website.html
And the swf file is here:
http://www.merrehill.co.uk/samples/cap-website.swf

If you can be bothered checking - for me its only the embedded html page that has issues reloading

My chrome says im on current most up-to-date version - 8.0.552.224 (17th dec 2010)

What script do you use? Is it probably the one Google (and Adobe) are using?

I just noticed another thing thats odd with chrome and will probably help find the bug.
when you load the html page first time it loads fine, then on refresh it's blank but by chance i happened to double click on the page and the flash movie magically appears!

It appears the movie is loading fine and once its cached chrome isn't firing the display once the page opens, i may be able to get round it using js to make chrome redraw the movie after load
Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. Rusty S 12/18/10 10:11 AM
It's an inconsistent problem. Sometime it occurs, and sometimes not.

Someone else had the problem with http://www.mixmegapol.se/player, but I tried that page, and ... no problem. I never get a problem with that page.

Yet so many web sites do have "Missing Plug-in" (with no link to install anything). For example, this page (http://www.edenpure.com/reviews/) has 19 "Missing Plug-in" messages. Yet it's not perfectly consistent. I've hit F5 (refresh) many times. Usually, it does nothing, but one time the topmost of 19 Missing Plug-in messages turned into a youtube.com viewer. Hitting F5 again makes it turn into a Missing Plug-in message again, and I can't see the youtube.com viewer again.

Today http://live.twit.tv stopped working on Chrome/Mac for me. Tried removing flash-block extension. http://live.5by5.tv still works. twit is still working on Chrome/Win. In my case, the machines don't have Flash installed. I'm relying on Chrome's Flash. It might be fail introduced by silverlight4 or flip4mac wmv which I installed last night to try to watch CES keynote, which didn't work.
Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. JS denmark 1/9/11 4:13 AM
Flash Video is from Adobe Systems right!
Then if Adobe don't know how to make the HTML tags for
Flash Video, nobody does right!
So If we are testing Flash Video in browsers
We might as well test it on:

http://tv.adobe.com

In that site you can watch "Flash Videos" tutorials and demonstrations.
I cant see any of them in Internet Explorer 8, Chrome, Safari, Firefox
in my Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. Completely rubbish right!

=======================================

I'm NOT talking about "Flash Movies" or so called "Shockwave Flash"
Flash Movies/Shockwave Flash is a COMPLETELY other thing!
A Flash Movie is a Flash Projector with some multimedia in it.
I can have embedded Flash video, but the start file is a Shockwave Flash.
File extension: .swf

A Flash Video is ether .flv or .f4v
all tough Flash Player plugin/ActiveX can play MPEG4 videos as well.
A webbrowser CAN playback a seperate .flv/.f4v file directly
without help from a .swf file.
It requires a Flash Player Skin witch your browser will download
and show in your Adobe Flash Player in your browser.
(I have done that myself on several websites)

Wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shockwave_Flash#Format

Both the Shockwave Flash and Flash Video's
is run by the same Adobe Flash Player plug-in/ActiveX.

To confuse completely there is ANOTHER format called:
Shockwave Director
File type: .dcr
Which come from the old days when Macromedia
had the Flash and Director applications.
In Macromedia Flash we could make .swf files
to the web

And in Macromedia Director we could make .dcr
files for the web.

Adobe bougt Macromedia and took over the
Macromedia application series.

So thats why you still can download
(director) Shockwave Player
http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

and the Adobe Flash Player
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

===========================================

I don't believe our problem with seeing Flash Videos in our browsers
has ANYTHING to do with the Flash plug-in/ActiveX or the browsers.

I think it has something to do with corrupted Windows User Profiles.
I have tried to create a new User in Windows and logged in on the new profile.
Then Flash Video works! (on the same Windows computer)

If it is the Windows User profile that is corrupted, or browser profiles, or browser conflicts,
or Adobe Flash Player problem. I don't know yet.

But I might help to try creating a new User profile.
IF you are using Windows.

==============================================

I just bought a Apple Mac Pro 2x Xeon (Westmere) and
Nvidia Quadro 4000 graphics,

So I dont care about the damn Windows anymore anyway!
Windows will NEVER EVER be a professional operating System.
Windows 9, Windows 10, Windows 300 will STILL be the SAME!!!

Windows hasn't change a bit since Windows 95!
Still the same crappy system....
It still uses the Windows Registry database, DLL files,
Filetypes regonized only by File Extensions, "Not Responding windows",
The same security issues, blue screen og death, touchy user profiles,
crappy way to configurate wireless connections, Windows Updates
that does not install the first time correctly,
internet explorer 6-7-8 stinks is not compatible with CSS2 and CSS3,
Internet Explorers Protected Mode locks sometimes the access to whole desktop etc....
Even the Windows 7 Pro/Ultimate System Image backup is not compatible
with the "F6" drivers installation for RAID controllers!!!!
I'm running a RAID 1 (mirror) WD Raptor drives as C: drive (Windows 7 Ultimate)
and I did a complete system backup with the built-in Backup/ghost feature.
The making of the ghost image went fint, but when I have to use it
I had to boot the Bootdisc I had burned in Windows.
It booted allright, I told it to read my RAID controller drivers
it did that from a USB pen drive. But I could not see my RAID paired WD raptor drive anyway!
What good is that!!!!!
Symantec Norton Ghost 15 did the job fine!
Microsoft = Amateur SHIT
Symantec = Rules!
So I've had it with Windows!!!

UNIX is a professional operating system!
Apple Mac OS X is UNIX with Apple skin on top of it.
In there Flash Video works in ANY browser!
Safari, Chrome and Firefox!
I dont want to spend my life configurating
and figuring workarounds for Microsofts endless bugs in Windows.
I want to USE MY COMPUTER TO WORK ON,
not doing system maintenance every day!

As the IT geek I am, that is I have been on computers since
Commodore Amiga and been on the Windows platform
since Windows 3.1. I know the most bugs in Windows,
I live in Windows Registry and I know the system32 folder
as my own pocket and so on.
I have configurated and assembled countless of Windows computer hardware,
installed countless of Windows machines.
I know how to debug blue screen of death error messages etc...

But... I just have had enough now!
I'm working as a webdesigner, graphics designer,
motion graphics etc... Pixel-whore! I call my self! ha ha ha.
I'm working all day in Adobe software.
I know when a Computer is fast or not!
especially when doing HD video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5
which requires Adobe Mercury Playback engine support
of a compatible NVIDIA graphics card like the
Quadro 4000 for Mac card.

You now say... yeah but Jesper bla bla bla bla.....
its not Microsoft fault it could be the 3rd party software etc...
Right but I still have the problem, I dont care whos fault it is!
I should be easy to correct but it is not apparently.
Well, You guys, you see we STILL NOT have solved this Flash Video problem in Windows right!
Thats my point!!!

We haven't seen ANY solutions yet!
Everybody talking about that they have the same problem!
NO SOLUTIONS YET!!!
How many decades do we have to wait for the problem to go away!
;o)

I only live once. I want to work, instead of
doing bugs/workarrounds in Windows.

==============================================

My Mac Pro with OCZ Vertex 2 SSD drives
boots Mac OS X to the desktop in 11-12 seconds!
Beat that Windows!!!
I have no conflict what so ever in Mac OS X
Flash Video, Shockwave Flash works fine in all browsers.
I can test websites in Internet Explorer 6-7-8 with
Adobe BrowserLab so I don't have to have it installed.
And Adobe software runs great on Mac OS X
I'm happy!.. happy happy happy.

BUY A MAC
Live happy ever after!

greetings

Here it is 03/01/2011 and both my Flash is (10.2.152.32) and my Chrome is (9.0.579.107) and my flash was working just fine prior to two things as far as I can tell.

1. The automatic updates of Chrome and Flash and......

2.  The update of Window 7 to Service Pack 1. (somehow I don't think this is the problem)

What's really weird is that Youtube and Daily Motion work just fine. However, CNN, MSNBC, Gizmodo, MMATKO, Sherdog, and many others don't work in Standard mode.

They only work in Incognito Mode. This is extremely lame and I need help.
Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. rmpbklyn 3/10/11 2:03 PM
try the following
1) DISABLE chrome's flash dll, First  close chrome (make sure task manager does not show chrome processes). rename gcswf32.dll  to gcswf32.dllx . you can always rename back,so don't delete file  now.

2)run uninstall  flash, and install the latestest version and work backwards in releases,  until you find one that works on your pc
eg, 10.0( from 2009) works on my PC and newer versions do not
        see the versions here:

http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/

3) disable chrome updates and flash updates, to prevent overriding the work you just did. to prevent this also COPY the dll you are happy with to "my documents' or usb key on the safe side.

4) It is recommended to  find all the   NPSWF32.dll files on your PC, by using windows explorer search (or any file browser with renaming functions)
to rename them to  disable all those included in other apps.... you'll find many   . only delete them if you are confident that it don't break the program for the folder it's include in.
Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. rmpbklyn 3/10/11 2:10 PM
@blackdyanmite, your problem is more likely cache, adblocking or profile errors.
try  cleaning cache, browser, adobe and computer cache, which are located at all different places ,then reboot PC
verify adblocking plugins have address where videos are downloaded from, eg brightcove on weather channel requires doubleclick.net to see the videos
also verify the host file entries(but if true, you won't see them in IE also), if at work it may be blocked by admins( you won't have a choice there..) ,
finally, if all else fails, make a new profile,  simply rename the current - folder 'default' to 'xdefault', it will recreate another

As a matter of fact I tried disabling my extensions a while ago with no effect. Now since I've posted this question I actually "Un-installed" several extensions with great success as a matter of fact now it works perfectly fine. I did this earlier today just before I left the house for the day and have been meaning to tell of my success. Also, since I Un-installed several of these extensions at once I'm not sure which one (or more) is the culprit.

Here are the extensions that I no longer have installed.

Cooliris, DivX HiQ, DivX HiQ Web Player HTML5 <video>, and Frame Two Pages

Please if anyone is thinking of using these Extensions for Google Chrome, don't! They are nothing but trouble and some of them sucked in their own right and were already disabled already.

For instance Cooliris crashed on the regular anyway, not to mention DivX HiQ, and DivX HiQ Web Player HTML5 <video> sucked anyway and didn't live up to their billing only to have them disabled and still their only legacy was to make my flash viewing miserable until I un-installed them from Google Chrome.

This is a frustrating problem.  I've put videos up that, using the standard CS exported html wrapper, play in IE 9 and Safari but not in Chrome.  How can we tweak the HTML code so that it works properly with ALL browsers?

Now, I say this as tho' it is the problem, because I know another site that serves the SAME images but uses a different method to do it (javascript library that determines what the browser is and writes player to a blank div on load) and it works fine.  So it is not the actual FLV file or the SWF file, but somehow Chrome is choking on the HTML that wraps the swf in <object> tags.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

It seems like I'm not the only one experiencing problems with Chrome and videos. I love a lot of the features of the Chrome on my Mac (especially it's speed; was working FireFox before but found it too resource heavy), but after much searching for a solution and to my dismay, I'm unfortunately back to Safari (actually is almost as fast as Chrome and a lot faster than FireFox with the recent update). Not much of a fan, but oh well, at least everything works, which I can't say for Chrome.

Everything seems to work fine on Chrome, then when I pause the video for a while and come back to it, the videos start acting up: won't play in full screen and only show blank screen with full audio; or it will freeze completely and when I click on play, it will just show an error message and I have to refresh the page (very annoying when I'm watching a lengthy training video where I'll have to wait again for it to download and I can't skip to the parts I want like with YouTube).

I'm not very techie at all, but if anyone knows solutions to these, I would greatly appreciate it.... hoping against all hope.

This problem began for me last week, though the reason behind it may be different for some people.

Here is my Chrome information (as of an update to Chrome that I installed this morning):
Google Chrome        12.0.742.30 (Official Build 84361) dev-m
WebKit        534.30 (branches/chromium/742@85801)
V8        3.2.10.5
Flash        10,3,181,14

At my workplace we turned on folder redirection last Thursday. Since then I can only get some flash videos to work.

For example, YouTube works fine, but as someone above pointed out http://tv.adobe.com/watch/adc-presents/preview-of-the-edge-prototype-tool-for-html5-/ just loads a blank rectangle for me.

I'm assuming that it's got something to do with the fact that both My Documents and App Data (roaming) now point away from my local hard drive, but I've been unable to fix the issue.
Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. JS denmark 5/29/11 8:37 AM
Hi.
I found a very possible solution!
The Adobe Flash Player has a setting to block 3rd party websites.
Including videos from http://tv.adobe.com is coming from a 3rd party domain, so the Adobe Flash preferences blocking videos because of that setting in preferences!

This 3rd party setting is on all web browsers off cause, not a Google Chrome problem. Its just a Flash Player setting causing the problem.

Check it out.

FIXED!!!

It was boggling my mind for quite some time especially being an Windows/Mac guru..  I recognized the issue when I right-clicked a video that wasn't working and went to settings.  I would change something, click close, then go back to check and see if it saved and it was back to the default setting.

----------------------------------------------------------------

What I did to correct this was go to my <user>/AppData/Roaming folder.  Once there, delete (or rename if you'd rather be safe, a simple "-" to the beginning works well) the /Macromedia/ folder.  Also go into the Adobe folder and delete the /Flash Player/ folder.

----------------------------------------------------------------

After I did that and reloaded Chrome, all was well and I could get back to watching pointless TV shows!

Hope this helps others and fixes their issues.

cgrego,

Any idea how to do this with a Mac?
Very hopeful here and thanks for posting the solution.

I haven't had this issue on my Mac and don't have it on me at the moment.  It could be several places on a Mac.

It will likely be in the system or library folder.  I am not sure though.  =\

I would do a spotlight search for macromedia and flash player.

Best of luck!

No luck. I guess I'll just have to wait for someone else to figure it out (I'm far from even remotely tech type kinda guy) and just go quitting and restarting Chrome for the time being.

Thanks anyways.

Appreciate it.

I had problem with flash not playing some sites(audio or video players) in all browsers with osx.

I tried to remove flash and reinstall it, but it didn't work any better, but then I wen't to ~/Library/Preferences/ and deleted Flash player stuff from there (I think it was under macromedia folder) and now everything works!

I think it was related to the problem "setting to block 3rd party websites" which JS denmark descripted
Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. ppaaff 6/13/11 8:50 AM
@anakuron Excellent! That worked for me! Thanks!

Steps I did:
1. Start the Task Manager inside Chrome (under "Window" menu)
2. Select the "Plug-in: Shockwave Flash (some version number)" and click "End process"
3. Start the Terminal.app
4. cd ~/Library/Preferences
5. rm com.adobe.PreferencePaneHost.plist
6. rm -rf Macromedia/

Reload the page, and the plugin will restart.
Now I can watch http://tv.adobe.com/ again!

@rmpbklyn Sorry for leaving that out, it's Mac OS X.

OK, so I'm the guy that posted about problems after my company moving to redirected folders.

I've been able to pinpoint the issue, and I have a (somewhat crappy) workaround that fixed Flash for me! It may also work for you.

Type "about:plugins" in your address bar, and you should be able to see an entry for "Flash". Mine listed two files. When I expanded out the entry by clicking the 'Details' link in the upper right of the page, I saw that my two flash files were located at:
C:\Users\jamesomeara\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\14.0.794.0\gcswf32.dll - (the one bundled with Chrome, obviously)
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.dll - (the one installed for system-wide usage)

By disabling the plugin bundled with Chrome and testing out previously-affected pages/sites, I can confirm that Flash works on my PC.

Now, this is both awesome and crappy at once. I've got Flash back, but it's clearly some problem with the version that's bundled with Chrome. My guess is that it somehow freaks out that my AppData\Roaming folder isn't on my local PC, and doesn't work for some flash files because of this.

Does anyone from Google check this?  Where are you Google moderators, employees...??

I haven't been able to play any live flash video on Chrome on Mac OS X 10.6.8 for over 2 years!  The video window is all black, but the audio does work.  Strangely, it appears to only be for streaming live Flash video.  I noticed this on Bloomberg.com/TV.  The advertisement video and audio played just fine, but once it went to live streaming the video went black and the audio played like normal.

Also, I can play live flash in Safari and when I check the preferences - extensions, "DivX Plus Web Player HTML5 <video> 2.1.2.126" is listed.  How do I either find a Chrome (Mac) specific extension or change existing DivX settings to be default player for Chrome?

Yes after much research just like you for 2 days I finally stumbled upon the answer: When you are in face book you can watch YouTube videos fine, but not directly signed into YouTube. This is because Facebook pulls in a secure (https) feed from YouTube, and when your in YouTube signed in its a simple http. Solution simple and works, go into your browser and simply precede the "www" with "https://" and your video will pop open and function properly. As usual Google switched to a secure video viewing format but didn't let anyone Know and notice the https has a slash through it meaning I believe their SSL certificate is expired or uncheckable. Hope this helps all.

I have same problem (Windows 7/64-bit) in Chrome, IE, and Firefox. I suspect that it is an issue of either the flash player settings manager (storage tab), or my modified hosts file.  Haven't got time to check right now....

I love chrome except for this one thing.  I'm tired of having to use buggy firefox for all video, and I HATE IE, so what to do.... I think I'll try OPERA.
Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. nickberger 10/7/11 6:33 AM
Chrome suddenly stopped playing flash videos. They would just be blank windows in by browser, through which I would see whatever was behind the browser window. The sound would play, but there was no picture.

I downloaded the Shockwave Flash plugin, installed it, and the PROBLEM IS SOLVED.
Re: Chrome won't play certain Flash videos on popular web pages. Firefox, Safari, IE all work fine. CandelLife 12/9/11 5:52 AM
The only way I have found around it to have Internet Explorer tab installed in Google chrome and click that to use IE inside of chrome to view the video when it won't operate like on Fox News. But I would prefer they fix it to work in the first place.

Installed Chrome as I was thinking its better than Mozilla Firefox, in Mozilla I don't have this problem so it must be something with chrome

Will move back to Mozilla until "mighty" Chrome dont resolve this

LOL
