|As soon I try to use Google Chrome the CPU usage shoots up to 100% and remains in this state indefinitly.||Hasmukh55||9/29/11 9:13 AM|
Google Chrome version (type about:version into the address bar):Operating System:Error Message:Extensions installed:
Please describe your question/comment in detail (for example, steps to reproduce the problem):
States Google Chrome is up to date: 14.0.835.186.
It continuely tries to load the page but nothing happens. The CPU remains at 100% usage. As soon as you cancel Google Chrome application the CPU usage drops down to less than 10%.
I have already uninstalled it and re-installed but no luck.
Please let me know what I should do. By the way I have consistently used Chrome for at least 12 months and have not experinenced any problems.

Clear your browsing data from the beginning of time.

Exact same symptoms here. Started out of the blue today, I have been using Chrome for almost 2 years and have not had any problems. I tried uninstalling, downloading the latest version and then reinstalling, but no luck - same symptoms - it totally hangs my CPU at 100%. I tried starting in "incognito" mode to disable all extensions, but the same thing happens.
The browser is hung so badly, I can't get a version - but I can tell you that I downloaded the latest version and installed it today.

Tried clearing browsing data. Did not help. Later found out one of the plugin was causing it. Same plug-in did not shoot up the CPU in other browser. But am still looking for a solution. I cannot disable the plugin because I need it. Any help on this will be useful.
