|Google Chrome startup entry with strange name||BlackAngus||9/12/11 6:53 AM|
Google Chrome version: 13.0.782.220
Operating System: Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit
Please describe your question/comment in detail:
I noticed a strange startup entry for Chrome today with the name of "C88C83561B3156D8A1DFB909644D93407D5D7DD2._service_run" and the executable being "C:\Users\awood2\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --type=service
I have never run into this before on any of my personal machines (this is occurring on my work laptop) and I am starting to wonder what exactly is going on here. Has anyone seen this before?

Whatever it was, that seemed to solve the issue.

Hey you are not alone with this issue. I'm going through the same problem no matter whatever i do this thing keeps coming up again and again in startup, and autoruns even after i fully disable it. it's a typical malware type behavior. The weird file name showing in my startup is "C666B7A901311D5D1CADCF935F6575441CBC5535._service_run" . It's quite irritating!! : /
