If you have 2 windows open with multiple tabs i would like an option to merge two windows or more into 1 window witch will have all the tabs.

You can do this yourself already, however you can only move 1 tab at a time.
1) Left click and hold on the tab you want to move (the tab becomes a new window with just that tab)
2) Move mouse to the position within the other window where you want it placed
3) Release left click (the 1-tab-window is merged with the other window)

i know you can do 1 TAB AT A TIME, thats why i think its a good idea to merge 2 windows WITH MULTIPLE tabs ;), now you have to drag 1 by one, they could easily add an entry to the right click menu on a tab, then after that select witch window you would like to merge with, or merge all windows in 1.

Yes, I think it will be a good idea to merge more than one window with all of them tabs at once. hope that will be available in coming up release.

I've become used to this functionality in Safari (in the Windows menu -> Merge All Windows). Very handy when your tabs and windows get out of hand! Look forward to something similar in Chrome.

Check out this chrome extension, Its just as @matthewbegg is suggesting.
"Merge Windows by paulk...@google.com

Merges all of the browser's windows into the current window"

I could really use this feature. My tabs tend to go out of control!

Is it just me, or does it look like this is never going to happen? If Google's devs cared enough, four years would have been enough time to implement the feature.

of course they don't care enough. they give a shit less what you think. their thought processes are superior. adding a button to merge all windows (popular in every other browser) is very simple to do, yet, not important to them.

This should definitely be a native feature. Did anyone notice you can multi-select an assortment of tabs? You'd think you could then drag those to target window together, but you can't.

This functionality exists in Chrome 24 and later (likely earlier versions as well).
Left-click the first tab in the window you want to merge. While holding the shift key, left-click the right most tab. All of tabs for the current window are now selected, so you can drag and drop them as as group on the other window.

No it does not exist in earlier versions. Anyhow i have downloaded the extension mentioned in one of the posts above. Works like a charm.
Am updating my chrome to 24 right now. Lets see how the select tab function works.

Hey, though my Chrome version is 23.xxx, I still handle to merge 2 separated Chrome windows without any extension. I followed the same instruction as Nick Garvey told.

you can "mark" tabs with shift or control just as you can with files and move them around in different windows. also, im using version 23.0.1271.97 m, works like a charm!
