With I.E., I could click tools>internet options & then I could delete cookies, temp internet files, history, etc. How do I get this feature installed on google chrome?

Click the blue wrench in the top-right corner, and go to "Clear browsing data". It should be straight-forward from there.

Bapabooiee is correct, although, in the future it would be nice to be able to pick which cookies/files you want to delete rather than being forced to delete everything or nothing.

@ Bapabooiee: That option is no longer available. So some others have said to click on the wrench > options > private data. Those are no longer there either.
A work around is Ctr+Shift+Delete. That will bring up the box that used to come up when you would click the drop down menu and "clear browsing data". Once that was gone, you could go to the options and the private data route. Now that is gone. If they do away with the ctr, shift, delete i am going to uninstall it. I am mad enough now to uninstall it but want to give them a chance to fix it as we go here. I realize it is fairly new. I also know that google is in info gathering business and want me to keep the cookies and spyware on as long as possible. I suppose if it was worth the effort i would get an add on and do it that way. But there are just to many other browsers out there for me to bother.

If you on Window you can install the Click&Clean extension:
clear cookies, flash lso, temp files, on Chrome exit or with 1-click(close all tabs before clearing)
Also it support external apps ( like CCleaner, WiseDiskCleaner ...).
The other useful feature is the Media Cache Viewer (Youtube, Vimeo... videos,MP3 - offline)

As you mentioned, you can hit Ctrl + Shift + Delete (on a Mac ⌘Y) to bring up the Clear Browsing Data dialogue. You can also go to Chrome men > History > Clear Browsing Data
It's also possible to set Google Chrome to automatically clear your cookies and site data whenever you close the browser. Simply go to Chrome menu > Settings > Show advanced settings... > Privacy > Content Settings > Cookies and select Clear cookies and other site data when I close my browser.

You could also use Ctrl+Shift+N, it is incognito browsing, and it doesn't save any cookies or Internet history.

In chrome it is Tools - Settings - Advanced settings - Content setting - Clear cookies when I close my browser
