Displaying the entire URL in the address bar. mimicpsycho 7/11/11 6:55 AM

Please describe your question/comment in detail (for example, steps to reproduce the problem):

I just want to know if there is a way to have Google Chrome display the entire URL in the address bar all the time.  Normally you just get www.google.com instead of http://www.google.com  And this is a not a major deal but I just thought it might be nice, especially for those of us who develop web pages.  Just would be nice to see the whole thing all the time.  If anyone knows how like a setting it would be a time saver.
Thanks to everyone who reads this thread.
And Google™ keep up the good work, everything you touch turns gold.

if you see "https://www.google.com"  - its HTTPS
if you just see "www.google.com" its HTTP

you can't set it to show "http://www.google.com", but if you copy the URL Chrome will copy "http://www.google.com"

yea I know that.  I was just wondering/hoping there was a feature.  I am not saying what they have is not good, just a personal preference I guess that would be nice to see.

Thanks a bunch.
