Yes I know it is. But so far I don't know of anyway to stop it. Keep asking this question and maybe someone will know how to help.

I would also like this warning to be able to be toggled. It seems that the majority of people I know using Chrome are fairly internet savvy, and I don't theink they need to be warned that executable files from the internet are potentially dangerous.

Of course all of us need this! I haven't bothered to dig through code... but it should be there for non-idiots.

I'd like to disable this idiotic warning. When will we have the option to do so?

Really getting on one's nerves after a while.... Need an option to disable it, otherwise I am going back to Firefox for all downloads

Just curious if this has been resolved yet. I, too, am really sick of having to click a button to delete the warning message that appears with every pdf download. Often I am downloading multiple relevant articles from on-line journals and I have to hit that annoying button over and over again. There should be some mechanism for disabling the warning.

It even warns when downloading PDFs, which is REALLY unnecessary!

Really hate it.

This is extremely annoying! How can we introduce that feature without providing a way to disable it?

Someone please figure this out and tell us how to diable this annoying feature!!!

ditto. I hate the warnings. I know what I'm doing so stop treating me like a repeat offender. Chrome is the one being offensive

the warning sucks, plus it totally misses it's goal: whenever you get a warning EVERY time you download something, you start ignoring the warnings. having a whitelist/greylist solution would be way better.

Bloody annoying, user must given choice to switch off!

For goodness' sakes, has this not been done yet?
People have been complaining for two years. Let's get it done guys.
If Chromium won't do it then Google can!

We wrote a custom software package to run our company on that prints to pdf files which are picked up by a background program that prints them automatically. We have been stuck on version 7 because of this warning. Each of our users are printing hundreds of times a day so an extra click is not acceptable.
We need to be able to run a newer version to fix some other errors but cannot because Chrome will not allow the warning to be turned off.

This is really annoying, I often download a lot of files (most containing apps I have to test or upgrade) and every time I have to confirm the download.
Moreover, I'm using Chrome on a Mac so I can't understand how a file I am downloading could "harm" my computer.
At the end, it's up to me to decide if I want to automatically start a download so an option to disable this stupid warning is a must.

fab.larosa, running OS X doesn't automatically make your computer impervious to viruses.
One workaround (not really a workaround) that I use is to have Chrome pop open the save dialog, which means that I can just hit enter rather than clicking the annoying tiny button to download.
