How to delete temporary files and empty internet cache? mvreddyisready 11/4/09 6:16 AM
Please describe your question/comment in detail (for example, steps to reproduce the problem):Even after clearing the browser saved data using the option provided in the browser itself, when I run ccleaner, it detects temporary files of chrome and some other in chrome's internet cache. Even if i use chrome in incognito mode, the same issue occurs. Is there any option to delete them with browser itself?
For others to best assist you in troubleshooting scenarios, please also provide the following:
Google Chrome version (type in about:version into the address bar):3.0.195.27 (Official Build 28507)

Go to Wrench icon > Clear browsing data

I do that every time i close my browser. I check all the options in that clearing menu. But still the problem persists. I've posted the question as my cleaner detects after I've cleaned all those from browser.

Verify that you have deleted checked all the boxes when you select "Clear browsing data.

CCleaner may be looking a Recent of Windows, which Chrome does not look at.

Yes. I've checked all the boxes while clearing.. Even then CCleaner shows clearly "google chrome internet cache" and "google chrome temporary files".

I still have hundreds of temporary internet files even though I clear browsing history, cache etc. using the wrench icon. Can find not way of getting rid of them. They are slowing my computer down so much. The old IE used to have 'clear temp files' - it was easy. There is no such choice in chrome. grrrrrrrrrrrr

janalderson, when you selected to delete browser data, did you change the time frame from Last 4 weeks to Since beginning of time?
