|Problem with chrome opening new tabs||Sycro5||7/13/10 8:05 AM|
Google Chrome has started opening all of my google search links in new tabs regardless of whether or not I have the "ctrl" button pressed. Usually a link from a google search will just open in the same tab if "ctrl" is not pressed. All other web links open (when left-clicked) in the same tab as usual, it's just the links from a google search that open in new tabs. Does anyone know how to stop this?
I'm using Chrome 5.0.375.99
My operating system is XP Pro 32-bit with SP3

Check to see if your preferences on the Google.com page have been changed to open in new window.

Thank you very much...That was the problem.
In case anyone else is wondering, you just need to go up to Settings (top right) -> Search Settings on your google homepage.
From there, scroll down to "Results Window" and uncheck "Open search results in a new browser window."
