|How do I turn off Chinese input in chrome?||brianrtidwell||1/6/11 7:46 PM|
Google Chrome Version 8.0.552.224
This is an embarrassing question but here goes: Earlier in the night I was goofing around mashing on keys and somehow I turned on some kind of Chinese input in which it treats anything I type as pinyin and translates them into characters. I had no idea this was even a feature of chrome, and thus have no idea how I turned it on or how I can turn it off. Any assistance I could get would be very appreciated.

Yeah. It happened to me as well. It's very annoying.
Pressing Ctrl-Space Bar to turn this Bug on and off. And yes, switching to Pinyin so easily is a #$@! bug, google.
I should not have to search the web using another browser to figure out how to turn off something I never wanted in my browser to begin with.

ctrl space is not working for me, this just shows how rubbish google is, too much time trying to do something cool and ultimately unbeleiveably stupid and not enough time thinking about how people use their standard tools
