I've got one primary biz calendar, but I'd like a secondary calendar for field techs to use, that will upload back to the main company calendar. Is this possible?

I have an "education" google account and a consumer google account. I've been keeping my calendar on my consumer google account but all my colleagues are using the education account now. Is it possible to sync my consumer google account calendar with my education google account calendar?
In general I would love it if these accounts could be linked in some way.

Please read the help pages before posting. No, this is not possible at this time.
Syncing events on secondary calendars
Google Calendar Sync will only sync events from your primary Google Calendar and your default Microsoft Outlook calendar at this time. If you've scheduled events on a secondary calendar in Google Calendar that you'd like to sync with your Microsoft Outlook Calendar, you can either move the event to your primary calendar or export your entire secondary calendar and import the events to your primary calendar.
I thought once about trying to jury-rig a second installation of the updater tool and setting that up to import events from another primary calender on another Google account but I don't think it would work and it would certainly be a pain to set up and keep changing accounts to add events to another calender.

For haiku 456, depending on your device this may be possible. With a blackberry (and now an iphone), you can use Google sync to sync your primary and shared calendars to the device. So the option would be to share one of the two cals with the other account and then Google Sync to that account. I use this for Blackberry and it works well but is not yet perfect with respect to all day and recurring events that are entered on the device. Equally invitation events generate duplicate entries but by and large it's pretty cool. The other limitation in your case would be that it would only sync entries that you create on the device to the primary account calendar not the shared one.
You can of course, export/import calendars in iCal format from one account to the other or copy across individual events but a continual sync is not available. For sek4278, this sounds like a one-off migration maybe so the export/import may be adequate? If you really want a sync could I ask why the sharing your second calendar falls short of your requirements?

the preferred answer (tpuiatti) does not seem to work.
I have a work google apps calendar shared with my personal google apps calendar. My work calendar shows up as "a friend's calendar" in my personal calendar, which I believe is the only way with sharing. Work events show up fine with full detail in my personal calendar. I sync the device over google sync with my personal calendar. I believe this is what tpuiatti refers to as "share one of the two cals with the other account and then Google Sync to that account."
However, my work events do not show up on my iPhone at all. :(

Hi Andy in Google Sync go to Options>Sync these Calendars: (select and click your existing personal calendar) and it should launch your full list on Google Calendars (both "My" and "Other" calendars) and you should be able to check the box for your work calendar and re-run the sync. I'm running this on a Blackberry but I imagine the sync client should have identical options on your iphone.
|Re: Is it possible to sync two google calendars?||Andy_Sk||2/24/09 5:57 PM|
Ah, that explains the confusion. Google's iPhone calendar sync uses the iPhone's built in Exchange server support. You don't install an app at all. (details here: http://www.google.com/mobile/apple/sync.html) Therefore, I don't have the options that you have. Thank you for following up, now I know what is going on.
So for the iPhone, I do not see any way to sync multiple calendars to my iPhone. I played around with Plaxo to try to sync one google calendar to another, but it didn't seem to want to sync automatically, I have to go in and run the sync manually (fail).

I set my phone up to sync with both calendars, and it showed that it was downloading stuff for both calendars, but I don't see the appointments on my calendar. Is there another step I have to do?
|Re: Is it possible to sync two google calendars?||Delta.J||2/27/09 1:58 PM|
By the way, the phone I'm using is a BlackBerry Pearl 8130, if that makes any difference. It shouldn't...

If you actually own 2 google calendars and would like to access both on your G1:
1. Sign in under your first google calendar account online
2. Choose settings
3. Choose Calendars from the top menu
4. Select Shared Edit settings
5. Under Share with specific people put in the gmail account attached to your OTHER google calendar
6. Sign out and repeat these steps for your 2nd Google calendar account
I recommend sharing both that way if you forget which calendar to add an event to it will still show up on all 3 calendars Google Calendar 1, Google Calendar 2 and Your G1 Google calendar widget.
On your G1
1. Open Calendar
2. Hit Menu button
3. Select More
4. Select My Calendars
5. Check mark the secondary calendar
6. Press Menu
7. Select add calendars
Now you can access event information from both calendars and best of all the events are color coded for their respective calendars. Your primary (G1) calendar in red, all other calendars in blue.

I have a company calander, and a Personal cal (with personal contacts). I know I can give one cal access to other, but then other business people cannot see my personal cal
Would like to be able to make google personal cal see business cal, as the iphone will only sync one account.
Google need to add a setting which says. Use my other google cal for this account. Perfect!

Apart from http://www.downloadsquad.
com/2009/04/22/sync-outlook-and-multiple-google-calendars-with-remote-calendars/, which is an Outlook extension, any other ways to _really_ sync two google calendars? As in not "see them side by side" but have the events from one calendar actually copied to another calendar in a programmatic way. Of course, I am aware that one is able to copy google calendar events one by one, but that is not sustainable.
Thanks in advance

OK, looks like there aren't any additional options.
I am considering creating a tool which would do this. Can you guys please take a short, 5-question survey to help me better understand the need:
|Re: Is it possible to sync two google calendars?||hmcmorrow||4/5/10 8:31 AM|
I too have an educational google calendar and a gmail calendar. I want them to sync. I too used Plaxo for a while and it worked initially, but stopped l and I never got it to work again. Plaxo says it has something to do with changes Google made. Such a bummer since it was the perfect solution. I had to pay for it, but I was willing.
If anyone else has ideas how to sync the two your advice would be greatly appreciated. I have an iPhone as well if there is a way to do it with that????

This is for Palewolf13.. what do you mean when you say "G1"? I need to have my work Google calendar and my personal Google calendar events all show on my LG Android phone. Will the procedures you noted work for this purpose?
|Re: Is it possible to sync two google calendars?||FormerGogleFan||8/7/10 2:50 PM|
I just want to sync my C905 with a google apps account, but apparently google doesn't support that - so i can sync with a normal account, and if i could somehow automatically merge it with the apps calender... of course saving/importing/exporting is lame and not an acceptable way of doing it.

I too would like to sync my google calendar with my educational google apps calendar. I want to do this so I can see my constantly-changing calendar on my Android phone. I can't find a way to show the google apps calendar on my Android phone either (which would be the other way to solve my problem).
|Re: Is it possible to sync two google calendars?||blue user||9/16/10 3:02 PM|
Palewolf 113's answer seems to be working for me. Thank you for this suggestion. I had to add a step: view friend's calendar (which was actually my own). I haven't seen how this will work over time, but it looks like I can edit those events that show up in another color so long as I gave myself that permission in the sharing settings as instructed. Cool.

I have the same issue!! I have a personal calander and a school calander, but I put my school events on my personal calander. Can I sync them? I really don't wanna have to re-type all that information!! Please let me know!!!!!!
|Re: Is it possible to sync two google calendars?||bickerdyke||10/1/12 1:28 AM|
No, you have a diffrent issue :-)
but if you go to the evnt details of an event, you can simply change the dropdown box that states in which calendar your event is in, so there is no need for retyping.
