|How to import an olm (Mac outlook 2011) calendar into Google calendars. Doesn't export a pst or csv file.||cmccarthy56||3/3/11 8:29 AM|
Using the new Outlook 2011 for Mac and it won't export anything except an olm file. I can't find a translator or conversion program to convert that to a csv or pst file to import.
I'd actually like to be synching my outlook calendar with my google calendar (used to work with my PC just fine) and then sync to my cell phone (which works fine from the google calendar).

this seems to be a major limitation of Outlook 2011. Happy to learn of a workaround.

Found a workaround....
Add Exchange Account to iCal -> Export Calendar -> Import in Google

@assme…As far as I can see iCal can only add accounts from an Exchange 2007.
That doesn't really solve the problem for user wanting to switch from an Exchange 2010 solution.(my case)
Let's hope it will be possible with the release of Mac OS X 10.7…

If you want to convert your OLM contacts files into CSV, PST or VCard format, then with out any delay just download SysTools OLM Contacts Migrator. At that time only this tool can convert your OLM Contacts to CSV format.
For more details plz visit this link :- http://www.systoolsgroup.com/olm-contacts-migrator.html

Sys Tool group works if you have a PC, but not if you have a mac. Any recommendations for Mac? SysTools converted my one file, but I need to do this weekly for my bosses calendar.

Has anyone found a solution to this? I used my outlook calendar to track my tasks and categorize different aspects of each. I used to export into a .csv on my PC and be able to organize but can only do an .olm file. So frustrated. Hoping there is an answer/workaround somewhere?

Very same problem : professionally I recently shifted from Windows to Mac.
Happy so far, but my main concern is how to convert my Outlook calendar to XL (for data mining purposes).
Need a convertor asap ! Best

Do we really not have a solution to this yet? Why can't the big boys just play nice?

Found a really nice work around that you all should be able to try. the .olm just appears to be a container - I used RAR expander (any archiver program should be able to handle it) and then opened the file - All the information is saved in an xml file.

My RAR Expander won't let me expand .olm. How did you get it to accept the fileformat?

Workaround found: Sync Outlook with iCal. Found in the "Tools" menu.
Export iCal calendar, import to Google Calendar. Was only able to get my full calendar if I changed all the categories to the same, as my iCal wouldn't export the whole calendar but only one category otherwise.

This worked very well. I am using Lion 10.7.4 and Outlook for Mac 2011. Setting up the Sync, under Tools, in Outlook is breezy. Then you wait a moment or two for it to sync with iCal. Brilliant!

when you export ical, it exports as ics, google cal won't import ics, how did you export from ical?
|bnewcol||7/12/12 5:34 PM|
sorry, i see it is supposed to take ical items, it didn't work for me. it said zero items processed. oh well.
|bnewcol||7/12/12 5:36 PM|
got it! we had transferred ical to busycal. went to busycal and did the export, then import and it took. thank you!

Yes there is no option to convert OLM to PST, but you can use third party utility to perform this conversion task. I know how you can migrate OLM database to PST file format, but you need to use other utility. You can download this advanced utility from OLM1.net.
I can provide you exact url http://www.olm1.net/download-olm-to-pst.html
You can download free utility and get OLM to PST file format. OLM1 have various another utilities to convert OLM emails and contacts. You can take a look and see your desired tool
All the best, I hope your problem will be solve with this utility
Software is available for 32 and 64 bit :)
