|Star rating on Google+ Local listing dropped and is lower than what I see in Review Analytics. Why?||orthosite1||12/4/13 3:02 PM|
Link to your local Google+ page (previously known as a Place page): https://plus.google.com/111791380674848745898/about?hl=en
Business name (as it is in your account): Lee R. Boese, DDS
Business category (e.g. hospital, etc.): Orthodontist
What's the issue you're experiencing?
We have 6 5-star reviews on our Google+ Local page. However, we have a 4.7 star rating on the page and within search results. What's strange is that when I look at Review Analytics in the Places dashboard, it shows me 5.0 as the average rating.
Something to also note is that we were at 4.9 and then dropped to 4.7 yesterday out of nowhere. I also noticed that our competitor who was at 5.0 also dropped to 4.7.
Does anyone know why Google might be assigning us a 4.7 if all of our reviews are 5 stars and what might have caused the drop? Could it be frequency of reviews left within a certain time frame? I've never heard of that affecting star rating, but you never know.

I'm seeing this everywhere and hoping it is a bug. Since Google just launched the new review monitoring system, it would make sense that some unexpected things happen with reviews. Time will tell but I have a feeling this isn't intended.
