|Real time traffic, but reports go blank||Gina C.||1/17/13 6:52 AM|
We have a site with Google Analytics implemented for a while now. Though we have not made any changes this week, we are having trouble generating reports.
Even though real time traffic is being reported, we cannot see data in any other report for the past two days.
Has anyone encountered this problem?

Same problem - As of Jan 16th, there are no reports, even though real-time still shows plenty of activity.
Seeing it across profiles, including the raw profile, which has no filters.

Same thing here, but I found my problem: filter for full URL in reports (https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/gajs/gaTrackingSite#profilesKey) . Since I disabled that filter new data shows up in reports.
It worked normally up until Jan 16th

Thanks for sharing your problem.
I found other people that have had the same problem before, and it always seemed temporary.
However, in some cases, the data was loaded retroactively and in other cases, it was never recovered.
In my particular case, we can already see the data back from the 16th. Without any effort from our part.
Have you been able to recover the data?

Gina - same case.
We didn't do anything - there wasn't anything I could see to do! - and now everything's back as nothing had ever been missing.
Which is a good ... if a little unsettling ....

The recommendation I received from others is to check whether the real-time data reports are running.
That way, at least we can check whether the GA code is active and the information is being collected.

Thanks. Our real-time reports were running throughout this episode. I guess that's a good sign for having the data restored eventually. I'll keep that in mind if this happens again - hoping that's a long time off, though.
