AdWords Destination URLs report - Destination URL (not set) & Medium(organic, referral and others) yeseniagn 11/18/11 8:18 AM
I'm using Adwords with Analytics with auto-tagging on. This seems working well since I see all data in Analytics (keywords, campaigns, destination urls, etc) However, I have one issue under the "Destination URLs" report: besides seeing all my correct urls from Adwords I also see one row with value of  (not set). When I show the medium information for this, I see the report is including all different mediums not only cpc. I don't understand why. Again, all the other URLs are correct and only coming from Adwords. See below for an example of the results

#        Destination URL           Medium  Visits .....
1.        (not set)        (none)        10,579 ....
2.        (not set)        organic        5,059 ....
3.        (not set)        referral        3,482 ....
4.        (not set)        email         319 ....
5.        (not set)        socialmedia        43 ....
6.        http://www.mydomain.com/landing-page1.html        cpc        14 ....
7.        http://www.mydomain.com/landing-page2.html        cpc        10 ....
8.        http://www.mydomain.com/landing-page3.html        cpc        10 ....
9.        http://www.mydomain.com/landing-page4.html        cpc        9 ....
and so on....

Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Yesi

I'm seeing this too. Both organic and referral mediums are showing up, plus when source is selected it shows source as a number of other sites including Bing, Talk Talk, AOL...

I do share Yesi's issue too. An answer from Google Analytics team would be much appreciated.

Hi, this also started happening to uson the 15th November 2011. I have had auto-tagging on for the past 6 years and nothing has changed on my site.

I can see in our analytics, from the 15th I've suddenly had 5,103 visits from (not set) in the Destination URL report, roughly 567 visits per day.

But I have not seen this same increase in other reports. Could it be due to the Google Analytic updates??

This same problem has been described by two people in another post.

I am seeing this as well. I was able to (mostly) get around it by selecting Paid Search traffic out of my Advanced Segments. There are still a lot that show as not set but that has always been the case. (1600 of 4800 in November vs 1000 of 5000 in Oct)

Hopefully this will be a short term fix until someone from GA can advise.
