I have uploaded the video to their Youtube Channel and embedded it onto the website, however this mor
Re: My video has been blocked from being embedded on my website (Copyright of UMG) Videodave2 8/3/12 12:49 PM First question is the claim correct? Did their video actually use some  music that was not approved by the copyright owners? It sounds like you are saying that it did, so you don't have much in the way of options.
Re: My video has been blocked from being embedded on my website (Copyright of UMG) ebbixx 8/4/12 8:38 AM Considering the context is a group of Majorettes, I doubt that would be a realistic option.  I'm assuming their routine is deeply wedded to the the music that was used for their performance. Re: My video has been blocked from being embedded on my website (Copyright of UMG) Klementine 8/4/12 10:03 AM There may not actually be so much of a problem. Re: My video has been blocked from being embedded on my website (Copyright of UMG) sfmajorettes 8/6/12 2:06 AM Hi guys, thank you for the responses. The site is currently in development, basically it was working fine but then the next day it was blocked. I have noticed however that it is working again, so I am assuming that my dynamic IP address has changed
Re: My video has been blocked from being embedded on my website (Copyright of UMG) ebbixx 8/6/12 5:06 AM YouTube (and most of the big labels seem more or less happy to agree) considers posting videos to YouTube a form of worldwide broadcast. As such, UMG will almost certainly expect you to pay for a license suited to that purpose -- read, very expensive
Re: My video has been blocked from being embedded on my website (Copyright of UMG) sfmajorettes 8/6/12 7:51 AM Thank you very much Abbixx. I have slightly amended the text in the video's description, explaining that the group is for non-profit and the music belongs to UMG etc etc. I know this may not work and I don't expect it to, however you never know how t
Re: My video has been blocked from being embedded on my website (Copyright of UMG) Klementine 8/6/12 12:14 PM Hello  They "can" block by IP as a subset of region.   And more specifically - they can block by domain.  See number 5 in attached article:http://apiblog.youtube.com/2011/12/understanding-playback-restrictions.html  and when they do so - I do not th

The website was on my server which has a static IP, however on my local machine (laptop) the video was blocked so they must have blocked my home IP address, then when my dynamic IP address changed the video
