Re: Is it ok to have sitemap files on a separate directory? webado 4/12/12 1:16 AM Did you try submitting them from Webmaster Tools? I think it's OK now, there used to be a tme when it wasn't OK to have them in a folder lower than the highest folder in the site (generally the root).

Re: Is it ok to have sitemap files on a separate directory? Phil Payne 4/12/12 5:00 AM All well and good, but I think multiple Sitemap: directives in robots.txt are still not supported.  A structure like this really requires a sitemap index, with a pointer to that from robots.txt
