If this is how customer service IS from a company like Google - how in the world they expect to compete with likes of Apples and succeed?..... frustrating....

Re: Porting a Number to GV - feeling helpless steelclouds 7/6/12 9:20 PM Dear Mudwoman..... Yes. I am leaving no stones unturned... but I find is strange that there isn't even interactive chat support.... Re: Porting a Number to GV - feeling helpless shaunhelp 7/8/12 10:27 AM This post is the epitome of my point... I am trying to port my # in, NOT OUT. This is why support forums are terrible, it's impossible to read every post and then you get nice people trying to help out but in reality just confuse the whole thing that
Re: Porting a Number to GV - feeling helpless mudwoman 7/8/12 10:34 AM I'm afraid you're stuck with us, steelclouds. I need to correct myself, too. I gave you references for port OUT of GV. Re: Porting a Number to GV - feeling helpless mudwoman 7/8/12 11:05 AM After I realized my error (and posted just a few minutes before you did), I searched for a recent port IN thread with a Google employee responding. I found none, but I see you posted at the other one. It's still a good idea to check that thread, beca

Re: Porting a Number to GV - feeling helpless SRamRoyy 7/20/12 4:48 AM I am in the same situation. Looks like there are quite a few people with this issue. If Google cannot port the number, at least they should release it. Now as the porting is in progress, we can not do anything with the phone number.
Re: Porting a Number to GV - feeling helpless steelclouds 7/20/12 6:45 AM Good news for folks like me. After the 1st attempt to port was stuck "in progress" for over 18 days (and after numerous postings later) Google wallet canceled my porting process and refunded my money without any action on my part. I still didn't lose
