| Re: Blacked out input fields | Aerilius | 5/15/12 10:50 AM | It could be that something in the theme is wrong or an error in Safari. Can you tell me what color fields are black on this table: http://webdesign.about.com/od/colorcharts/l/blsystemcolors.htm |
| Re: Blacked out input fields | marsofearth | 5/15/12 11:44 AM | Not sure I understand what you mean about safari? Does Sketchup use safari for it's Sketchup Windows? I presumed it did not. The problem we are having is that fields within Sketchup Windows, such as Component Options Window are Blacked out. Just a |
| Re: Blacked out input fields | Gaieus | 5/16/12 3:59 AM | Yes, SU uses Safari on the Mac (and IE on Windows) to display its webdialogs. |
| Re: Blacked out input fields | marsofearth | 5/16/12 7:58 AM | Web Dialogs? This is all fine and dandy, but how do I go about seeing my text fields in Google Sketchup? I do not have any problems seeing text fields and tooltips in safari. Time to open the Sketchup package and start hacking??? Sent from my iP |
| Re: Blacked out input fields | Aerilius | 5/16/12 4:55 PM | As the linked website says, these are system CSS styles that SketchUp cannot influence. Hacking in the SketchUp package won't achieve anything. It seems a recent update of WebKit on OS X (Lion 10.7.4?) has broken compatibility with the CSS standard. |
| Re: Blacked out input fields | marsofearth | 5/16/12 7:21 PM | I do not see any issues with the CSS renderings. Text is usually black, fields lighter. No Black fields. ToolTips is the usual yellowy. Ah bullocks, back to Vectorworks. From my experience with using Trimble hardware/software, things will not be ge |
| Re: Blacked out input fields | marsofearth | 5/16/12 7:46 PM | Seems fine to me... Have not seen any issues with any other apps that use the webkit framework (not safari). |
| Re: Blacked out input fields | rdeath | 5/17/12 7:01 AM | I still have this same problem, I'm running OSX 10.6.8 so the recent update of WebKit on OS X (Lion 10.7.4?) can't be the problem. See screen shots from http://webdesign.about.com/od/colorcharts/l/blsystemcolors.htm |
| Re: Blacked out input fields | Aerilius | 5/18/12 7:11 AM | Hi, the screenshots look ok (what it should be). So it's either not related to WebKit system colors, or it doesn't occur in the browser. It's still unclear from where this issue comes because I have never seen such an issue in SketchUp and the last u |
| Re: Blacked out input fields | Colin Holgate | 5/18/12 7:48 AM | For what it's worth, yes the fields look bad in 10.7.4, but they look great in 10.8. So, there will be a day when it will look nice again, even if there is never a 10.7.5. |
| Re: Blacked out input fields | rdeath | 5/19/12 5:03 AM | I'm not 100% sure about any updates but nothing else was changed. It's all running fine on my Macbook which has just had a new harddrive and latest OS, 2 weeks ago. On the imac its running the exact same SKUP in 10.8.6 and i have the problem in all i |
