Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? mscha 12/02/14 6:26 Google Reader used to have (at least) three ways to go to the home screen. 1. "Home" on top of the left-hand sidebar. 2. Click on the logo (de facto industry standard) 3. Keyboard shortcut: gh In the redesign of last year, 1 was made a lot less acce
Re: Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? mscha 12/02/14 6:48 Indeed caused by the new Google bar. Before: http://db.tt/Q44yITUr Here, the entire “Google reader” logo is clickable. Re: Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? paul dubya eye 12/02/14 8:18 I can confirm. It is very frustrating to not be able to click the Google Reader logo to get back to the homepage. Please fix! Should be a very easy change!
Re: Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? ddddod 12/02/15 7:22 Same problem, but only in Firefox - in Chrome the pages has the "Google Reader" Bar, and navigates as expected.
Re: Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? Neal C 12/02/16 2:36 I've noticed this recently too - very frustrating (I'm using Firefox)
Re: Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? chrisrosa 12/02/16 16:08 This is extremely annoying. What used to be one click is now three, including browsing through a menu. So lame.
Re: Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? chrisrosa 12/02/16 16:13 @ddddod The GReader bar isn't any help, because it's still more than one click. Clicking the logo used to bring you to your "start page" as defined in GReader settings.
Re: Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? onebeno 12/02/24 2:51 +1 on this issue. I use the g+h shortkey as a workaround but it I find it very un-natural and frustrating each time I try by reflex to click the Google or Reader logo.
Re: Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? Yotaru Vegeta 12/02/26 11:10 Fix, this, google! Why still be able to set one of my folders as the home page, but then have no quick way to get there?
Re: Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? matti3 12/04/03 9:49 I totally agree. I just discovered in Opera it still works. Probably because they are serving an older version for opera.
Re: Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? mscha 12/06/26 5:00 And only a short 4½ months later, this is fixed! Clicking on the Google logo now goes back to the home page of the current service.  Looks like a Google-wide fix, also for other services. – Michael
Re: Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? mscha 12/06/26 5:01 In fact, also here on http://productforums.google.com ... where it's broken.  :[ Goes to http://productforums.google.com/?hl=en&tab=gg&authuser=0, which gives a 404. – Michael
Re: Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? matti3 12/06/26 6:27 thanks for notifying! I almost gave up on reader
Re: Did Google just make it even harder to go to "home"? Tim Suh 12/10/30 22:10 This used to bug me too. But I just noticed this week that it's fixed (but it could have been fixed before - I just got used to not clicking the logo).
